I've got a £20 Mr !!!!!! conditional spend although I cant think of anything else to make up the £20 unless some expensive things appear on COS“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. how is everyone else finding it so far...I seem to be the only one detailing my experiences and I worry if I carry on in the same vein I will bore you all rigid within 2 weeks!
I'm finding it quite easy, but as has been said this is not 'for real' for me.
I'm aware that I am only counting spends, rather than the cost of food and drink and although I didn't stock up deliberately for this but there is enough food (and drink ) in this house to last until December at least as well as a variety of spices etc to jazz things up a bit.
I am also aware that since I took (early!!) retirement I have time to look for bargains and cook from scratch.
Tonight we are having slow cooked pork shoulder (from the freezer, but cost £3.90) there will be enough for 3 x meals for 2. We will have it again tomorrow, but I think I will freeze some sliced and in gravy for next week.
Spent £1, in Poundland for a big bottle of squash that my dearly beloved grumpy old g!t thinks he has to have! It will last him for a couple of months though.
Off to update signature.

My thought on the booking system was perhaps that they gave preference to newly registered people...that certainly was the case for DS who only registered with them the week before his email came out .....and he was able to book because his invite seemed to come out early in the afternoon.
I've been registered with the website since mhoc pointed us to it last year when she found the first one...but it wasn't until this year that I actually had an invite email...
I only registered a few days ago, so maybe they prioritise newbies to an extent, but not 100%?0 -

It seems especially true of the high-spend wombles.
The current trend seems to be putting things in individual packs and pots, eg jelly pots, sachets of porage, snackpots etc, and then charging well over quadruple for the item it contains. The manufacturers must be having a real laugh - sell them less and charge them more...
I like noodles, but hate those pot noodles and pasta things with a passion - noodles can be so cheap!0 -
