I can't get the menu to download, Firefox blocks it and Edge goes all blank, so they'll have to have a surprise.

I only registered 2 weeks ago, so feeling very lucky. In fact with my free gilet from MnS, it's turning into quite a good day. :money:

I'd like to think that we eat reasonably healthily...I'm not the greatest cook but I'm certainly not a packet princess either....
Going into this I had prepared a little with some store cupboard stuff and also a few things in the freezer...then lost the contents of the fridge and freezer when it died!

I can see that there will have to be adaptions made as we go through the month...clearly meat becomes too expensive to provide it as a daily meal so meat free will need to and is being considered.

I love other peoples receipts.....I find them intriguing to say the least....

I agree that even this early on I am grateful for those swartz shake things that we seem to have lots of as they are certainly working as a seasoning to rice and pasta's with a handful of mixed frozen veg thown in.....fresh veg is challenging me a little at the moment...but I'm hoping that given the time to shop a little more selectively next week things will improve.

Time is quite a big factor in it all too....both in convenience of where to shop v price and also a quicker meal v something thats cheaper if homemade....all decisions that to a point I hadn't really though that much about before.

I am nearly as bad - shall we start a list of people with their daily spends on excel charts?

I started doing a daily spends excel chart to make me concentrate on the drip drip effect of spending small amounts most days and also to give some explanation as to why the credit card bill which should in theory be no more than about £400 a month including petrol is usually over £600 - always something extra like vets, cattery, OHs boots, coal bill or meals out of something needing mending, fixing or replacing ....
I also find it quite calming to see the rows of figures - this is quite mad, my guilty pleasure :rotfl:

We just took the email confirmation....no problem getting in.

The menu has 2 starters on...make sure they get both....3 mains...again order all 3 as you need to give a balaced review of your experience...and there are 3 small shot glass puds to share although they may sub the puds for different ones as they are not always available.....we were missing 2 from the menu and DS said he had 1 missing....
There is a feedback form which needs completing and you can give as much or as little detail as you want...thats it...and pay for any drinks you have.
