Seren...I can understand you deciding not to go...the meal is very pasta based....although the starters were a garlic bread and mushroom arancini balls....both very nice

hope your DD enjoys it....if its the first time she's done anything like it just tell her to sit back and enjoy it...my OH spent most of the time asking me if they really were going to charge us.....he couldn't relax until he found out that it really was just the drinks you pay for!

Not managed to get a table.

Already had a previous link open tried on that as did not have email yet didn't work. As soon as email landed I was on it but nothing even out of curiousity tried elsewhere all over the country and nothing anywhere.

Just out of interest those of you that managed to book are your emails near beginning of alphabet. Wonder how they decided to send them out.

I would guess they send them out randomly or maybe try and mix up the order each time. Alphabetically I'm in the middle.
The previous emails by the time I have received the email they have all gone so perhaps they took pity on me!

I am finding the frugal experiences very interesting..not boring.
I can imagine that for people who have to do it all the time and without backup of a good store cupboard would end up with a very boring and bland diet of pasta, bread and rice.

Very little protein and fresh fruit and veg unless they had a garden or allotment.

Mind you looking at wombles most of them have snack food on them which years ago nobody would be buying and is where most of the money is spent.

Alphabetically my email would be towards the end....my emails last 2 weeks have been early compared to some but all gone before I got off the starting line.
