Oh & Dad has had a mini stroke but refuses to see Dr as does not want to go back to hospital ever again :)

Oh dear...he probably ought to see the gp or at least ring them to make them aware of...
Pleased you had a good holiday, enjoyed the snaps! shame about the the bites, I have heard that if you eat marmite (not our marmie:rotfl: )the mosquitos don't like it so therefore when you get hot and sticky they go and attack someone else:D
Pain in the neck having to get a taxi back to the airport especially as you were around and could have caught the bus...communication...ummm!:(
...I did get my eyes tested and now awaiting my new glasses...thank you:T

Sorry to hear that snap ant. When my mum had that, I didn't realise and as we were near our local GP's just took her in there and luckily he saw her straight away and said he suspected a mini stroke and gave her an asprin. She was right as rain about half hour later and he didn't tell us to take her to the hospital (which I found out later he should have done). Luckily all was well though.
So if your dad is on mini asprins, maybe that will help, but really should get medical help.
    hth :)

rechecked cardholder offers, nothing on Sanex, but Tampax campak pearl 18s MAY work....
[FONT=&quot]Theoretically as it states that they are £2.99 for non cardholders and 2 for £5.00, and £1.99 for members. so........ possibly.....

    buy 2 , original price £5.98

    Discount to multibuy -£0.98

    Cardholder discount  -£2.04

Net price for 2's £2.96 or £1.48 each

Seems a good deal as MSM shows them never dropping below £2.00

Someone would have to do a test buy to confirm though.

Sorry for dumb questions, but our flight is 12.45 with RyanAir so what time should we be looking at arriving. A friend is giving us a lift to airport and picking us up on return. I think Lounge Pass says 3 hours max. Just never used anything like this before

Incase no one has answered. Rynair have been sticking to a two hour check in at out local airport. I would be there for about 10.15/1030 to make sure that I was first in the queue. Providing security isn't too busy, you should be in the lounge by about 11.15. Enjoy.x

Contacted DH and our orchard voucher expires tomorrow

Thanks, I'll have to have a hunt around for it tonight. One of the downsides of house renovation is that things don't have a proper 'place' so they don't stay where I put them for long :o

Afternoon, I tried a couple of sol vouchers today for the free beer but he couldn't get them to work even after being on the phone to someone for 30 minutes. He pointed out that you can only get the free beer when you buy a burger meal and it does seem to say that on the voucher ie ' *redeemable on all burger meals in Sizzling Pubs' underneath the code. I didn't have any problems with the other two in a different location. I have deleted the other ones now that they have been used so can't check if the wording is new.

Hi, after getting some Tresemme this morning I looked further into the loyalty card deals and the only other one that would work is the Impulse 2 for £3 but also better than half price.

    Image%20271.jpg

The Tresemme accounts for the £10.04 and £4.96
The 98p is the multi on the impulse reducing it from £3.98 to £3.00
There is no offer on the Mitchum.
Therefore the £1.53 is cardholder discount on Impulse ( I think).
Making it £1.47 for two, 73.5p each.
Not a great saving as Sada and a couple of others are selling at£1.00 each, but not too bad.

    HTH

You can do the impulse & tampax online :)

ETA tampax comes up as £3.30 for 2 though

Josie ann...the wording on the voucher is for a free meal...definitely.

I also think there is something clearly wrong with the vouchers as the 2 we used on Saturday didn't go through.
It was easier for us because we had the printed versions rather than just showing the phone....I think this is what convinced the manager to accept them as he felt he had something to put in his till and claim back later!

It's also completely hit and miss what you get offered...we were offered soft drinks with ours so I really think the voucher is open to whichever way someone wants to interpret it.
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend
