Josie ann...the wording on the voucher is for a free meal...definitely.

I also think there is something clearly wrong with the vouchers as the 2 we used on Saturday didn't go through.
It was easier for us because we had the printed versions rather than just showing the phone....I think this is what convinced the manager to accept them as he felt he had something to put in his till and claim back later!

It's also completely hit and miss what you get offered...we were offered soft drinks with ours so I really think the voucher is open to whichever way someone wants to interpret it.

The voucher I gave in was for the " here's your free bottle of sol"but was told I could only get the free beer when I purchased a burger meal as he pointed out to me the wording underneath the square black & white patterned thingy:rotfl:
I will try the original location where I had no problem ( and won a meal from:T) Though she did say she doesn't think she is allowed to let me take unopened bottles home ( I was driving so didn't want to drink it there):)

    Oh no!!

I still had my original email Josie and it does have that wording. But I am not sure if as it mentions about chance to win a meal when claiming whether it ascertains to that bit of the promotion? As in describing what your win would be as the asterisk is in front of where it mentions that further up....

Here are the terms and conditions and no where does it mention about having to buy a meal to get the free Sol. You do have to scroll past a load of useless info first.

    http://www.sol.com/gb/Terms-Conditions

And I am 100% certain the original screen to enter had no mention of having to buy a meal either just the chance of winning one. HTHs

He was definitely concerned with the Astrix before the" redeemable on all burger meals" I don't think he was being awkward as he was trying to solve the problem on the phone with someone, who was obviously a stickler for rules!!
Astrix's in wrong places I'm sure.:)

Good luck with dd results, such a tense time.:)

    :)

Spoken to Dad - it happened yesterday. He could think the words he wanted to say but couldn't speak them.
He is adamant he is alright now...
Mum told my sister today, who told me, I ring & Dad gets annoyed as we care :o

Anyway they are planning to drive to Wimborne soon to their bridesmaids 80th birthday luncheon.
Dad has been practising getting into the front seat of the Berlingo.
My sister & I are concerned about them going all that way on their own, so it looks like I'll be also attending the birthday party..
    Our Family Motto ~
If all else fails - read the instructions...

I can see that might be pushing it a bit....but I like your thinking....

Have you managed to claim the free meal yet?
That's the one most people seem to be having problems with.

Thanks, I'll print off all the T&cs to show them:) ( or cut off the bit that says redeemable on all burger meals.) Another bar staff member gave me two cards to scan for the chance of getting a " foodie treat" I think you can go on their website tellus.sizzlingpubs.co.uk to get a chance too. So possible free burger and the pud or starter as well:rotfl:

Thanks, I'll have to have a hunt around for it tonight. One of the downsides of house renovation is that things don't have a proper 'place' so they don't stay where I put them for long :o[/QUOTE

I am not renovating but things/receipts do not stay where I put them in my house....gremlins I think..
Yesterday the carling receipts and a yeo cream pot cover with tokens on had disappeared now it is the cheese/wine receipt....
