I'm embroiled with a battle with talk talk at the moment with our internet connection....it just drops and takes everything down with it....its got to the stage where I am having to log the drops and so far today there have been 10 since 10am....

I shall think of you this evening mhoc, when I am on the phone reporting my findings.....

    it's beyond aggravating isn't it ;)

I know sky can see what speed we are running at from their size as when we had the previous issues the person we spoke to was amazed that we were getting any internet at all.
so TalkTalk must be able to see your outages even without you logging them.

Your landline - do you still rent from BT or is your line rental also paid to Talktalk?
THe BT chap said to me this week there are 2 types of BT open zone engineer - one that deals with line faults and one that deals with internet problems and you have to make sure the right fault is logged so you get the right version :)

We used to be BT for the landline ...but I think its now a combined talk talk package...I'm sure its all linked to when they hook you in for a new contract...I think we recently have renewed so I expect they think we are not worthy of service anymore!

(((x))) Saversue, wise words from LEJC. Make sure you take time to care for yourself as well.

LEJC, I'm definitely up for frugal October. I was going to go for £50, but since you're doing £40 I'll do my best to match that :D My starting point is a freezer that's about half full, a handful of small wombles totalling about £11 and an M&S gift card with £20.14 on it with another £10 to go on mid month. Like you I will be counting actual, physical cash handed over. I deliberately haven't stocked up this month and have just shopped as normal - well as normal as elite shopping ever can be. Of course, if the mother of all glitches comes along I will break all my own rules :D
Anyone else fancy joining us? The rules aren't set in stone, you can make your own.

OH HG....if you've only got half a freezer full,I wish I could pop round with the half thats rapidly defrosting in mine.

We are having a huge cooked chicken tonight,it would have fed us for probably 3 days normally but with the fridge being as it is it's either got to be eaten tonight or probably ditched,,,

...all welcome round at my hoose for tea tonight....I just dont want it all to go to waste!
