    so the saga continues

Saturday eldest son and his lovely GF spent the day flat scrubbing before the keys were finally handed over - she seems a bit sad about it but she is very down to earth matter of fact and taking things in her stride - she has been in this fiat for 3 years - if it was me I would be a blubbering mess

in the meantime the agents for the new fiat are still messing them about - it might be Tuesday or even Wednesday but still no definite move in date or time  So technically GF is homeless :(

last weekend we said if the letting agency were still messing them around there was no problem with them staying here for however long so after finishing the fiat scrubbing they came last night, 2 cars and all of their worldly goods and chattels.
We had a lovely evening, lots of chat, played cards, drank wine ...

today we went for a walk by the canal, had coffee and cake in Marks, washed the cars ... usual Sunday lounging around day and they have just gone off to see a friend, OH is in charge of sausage and mash

Tommorrow eldest son has to set off at about 3 in the morning to get back to his base and he has a exam day. GF is setting off for her new job as well, prob about 7 as she is driving to somewhere in Birmingham. GF might be with us for the next few days yet if the letting agency don't get themselves sorted

We are thinking that this will probably be the last nice weekend with them as now they are going to be south of us we won't see so much of them. The new flat is closer to eldest sons base so he won't have a reason to drop by. They still will have masses of friends living north of us but it when they go visiting it will make more sense for them to use the train so they won't be calling by. And I think loads of friends have put their names down for weekend visits to the new flat so between work commitments and friends thats all spare time assigned between now and Next year :)

a nice weekend altogether as we saw eldest child and her BF on Friday in York, had most of the day with them and nice drinkies and Indian in the evening - this is the best bit of having grown up children :)
