We couldn't get the oven to work when we moved in here. Someone said check the timer? Like you had no idea, so I just randomly push some buttons till it worked :rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you, I know I could do with shoes and bag, but have run out of time before the holiday. I have some that will do but will try to find some after the holiday, not likely to have too much spare time.

I bet you are staying in the same Travelodge as we are staying in on Tuesday night Our flight is at 07:40 and the first train does not get in till 05:55, and if that one was cancelled we would be in trouble, so Travelodge it is.

Agreed, that is not good, you could end up with 240V coursing through your body!

We had a kettle a while back (Wallace and Grommit one :eek: ) that suddenly decided to stay on all the time, only a trickle but I could go in and find it on without being turned on. That one lived with the socket firmly in the off position until it was replaced, but one that gives an electric shock means there is a damaged connection that may become more damaged and it could kill.
