Di sounds like oven may not be set to manual. I keep knocking a button on ours and it won't light. I have to press one with a symbol like a hand to turn the automatic setting off. While it's set to automatic the clock flashes waiting to be told what time to set it for. Could it be similar for your DD?

Glad the move otherwise went well for them x
