Some of what appear to be cheeky price increases in M - Black Forest Gateau has gone from £1.97 to £2 (I think the 'price crunch' has been taken off) and Salt & Vinegar Chipsticks and Frazzles appear to have each gone from 95p to £1.00. It's as if they think I won't notice.
(I say "appear to" as I saw the 95p SELs last week but I'm doubting they ever were now as msm has consistent £1.00 all the way through.)0 -

I got it for 99p + pp, but when I looked at it someone had opened the side seam, inserted a non-matching adult-sized zip, hand sewn in and not machined, and even the tacking stitches were left in! Seller swore blind it was new and unworn, even when challenged, but refunded the money. I put it into the c/shop ragbag.Afternoon all, hope everyone is well.

mhoc did you enjoy York?
We always do :j We booked very last minute so it was not very MSE - totally the opposite - but sometimes you have to step outside of yourself and outside of your normal routine
I booked on the Tuesday and we went on Wednesday, decided to go for a city centre hotel and go up on the train, we have train passes- rather than driving up (thus saving a tank full of petrol and also Ikea lunch, the meatballs are irrestible)
Wednesday was very hot, lunch in Yates, free drinks in Piture and Piano and we then walked the walls, something we had not done for years so we forgot it does not totally circle the city. There is a section which has no railings and my nerves got rattled so we came off and then walked back - nearly 20k steps that day.
Bella Italia dinner using my gift vouchers - very bad service so I've got a complaint letter to write.
Thursday started off very foggy but despite this we had a day trip up to Scarborough where fog was rolling down the streetWe didn't stay long but did have our free hot chocolates in Marks and at least the fog had lifted on the way back.
Back in April I won a lovely afternoon tea at a little coffee shop and finally we got to take it on Wednesday afternoon. Then we had a nice walk back through museum gardens where there was a chap doing a display with various owls and raptors and hawks etc. Dinner was at Pizza Express next to Lendal bridge that night and we used the nectar vouchers.
Thursday night our gorgeous eldest child and her BF drove up to York as he had a big dental appointment on Friday morning - they always stay with the in laws. She came to our hotel on Friday morning and she had breakfast with us. We had horrendous rain but eventually we made it across to the rail museum - OHs favourite. They have an exhibition about ambulance train which does not sound very exciting but actually it was very informative. We went last year to Dunham Massey to see the army hospital exhibition and this answered a lot of our queries so the 2 things joined up nicely
The eldest child went off to the hairdressers for the afternoon - much cheaper than going to her hairdressers down south. We were in a different hotel on Friday night so we moved house, had a walk along the river, did a few jobs in town and had lunch in yates again
She then joined us later and we then walked across town and met BF, had drinks in a nice pub to celebrate BF getting his new job and then walked across and had an Indian before walking back to the hotel along the river again, back to our hotel and BF and eldest went for a quick drink before their lift came to collect them.
So a very nice relaxed, none complicated few days“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Sounds lovely. I know you said non MSE but I think you are brilliant with all the deals & freebies. So really it was quite MSE xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Are there any Walkers Variety 6 pack crisps in A that might act as a trigger to the 2 for £2? M has some Variety packs that contain HP Sauce or Heinz Tomato Ketchup - wondering whether A has those too. The straight Walkers Classic Variety 6 pack will doubtless be an appearer - but wondering whether there are these other Walkers Variety products on different BCs (and would need to be in the mbuy offer at A of course). They have special flavours in them - one with HP Sauce has 2x Ham and something [illegible], 2 Sausage & Brown Sauce and 2 Cheese & Chicken flavour. The one with Tomato Ketchup has 2 individual Cheese & Mayonnaise crisps bags, 2 Bacon & something and Cheese Tomato & Worcester Sauce.0
