When I did Rome, I hired a man in a car for the day, and he took us from the boat to all the main sights in Rome, then back to the boat, there was only 2 of us and it worked out about the same as a far poorer P&O trip. Not :money: but value for money.
Cases, I would not worry about it, I have never had any issues.
Thanks Dave. Where did you hire your man in a car? How much was it?I do try to keep up but sometimes life gets in the way.
I'm just a penny short of a pound. Peace and Love.

Hi all, have started a new job, which is supposedly part-time but is taking up more time than my old job at the mo...
Anyway, have managed to go shopping this morning, came home with the most massive bag of toiletries after collecting my JF order from B00ts and also found the Dove sets at SD - thanks to all who posted the offers.
Also used my last £6 wys £30 at W's (but stopped to chat to a friend and overstayed the parking by about 10 mins so hope that doesn't come back to bite me).
LEJC if you still need passport photos, you can do them yourself at https://www.epassportphoto.com - either print at home or just take the jpeg to Asda/Boots etc and print out for about 20p. Good luck for this weekend, don't forget the tissues xx0 -

and back in the room
Got to Shrewsbury before shops opened
but did find that Home Bargains opens at 8am. So for once I could properly browse, nice wood nail brushes 39p, 8 pack of Trebor extra strong mints 89p, & they sell Olbas bath :j
Anyway I was first into M&S & after wandering about wasting time I decided to ask where Sale stuff was. Was directed to a wall facing shifty looking stand with ½ dozen pairs of trousers at £1.99 & a nice striped seersucker jacket RTC from £145 to £10 but knew no one who would wear it
Found more hidden sale stands in each department. Womens sandals were £1.99
Lovely leather girls school shoes £1.99 (from £28) & same with boys trainers at 99p from £28
Got a nice cotton cardie/hoodie for £1.99 for Fourp.
Did QVC & got some Birkenstocks for a friend for £12
lovely pink metallic ones.
As you can see I stopped off in Ws

750 points when you buy 2 x Smashbox at B00ts but must include lipstick, cheapest item is £16 lip gloss (works in my basket on 2 of those)
Lipliner £13 is OOS.
Not cheap enough for me though!“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -

Has Shrewsbury QVC got any better, Snap?
It always used to look like a jumble sale, I could never find anything in there but that was some years back.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -

Thanks pacifica,
I only answered the call as it was a local number. That seems weird now I think about it as it was definitely a big call centre from the background noise and we don't have any locally. He was also cagey about the company name, just saying they worked on behalf of my insurer and a load of others.
Try googling the number - that's what I usually do (or if it doesn't come up try who-called.co.uk)There comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne ... Bette Davis0 -
