3Dogs another one wondering how Millie went on at the vets. Hope you are ok .

Sorry not been on. I was away for a couple days at weekend and had Millie bathed and clipped right back while she was at boarding. Joy there keeps her in the house with her there, sleeping in her bed, to make sure she is OK. No seizures while she was in there or when I picked her up. However, when I was getting up yesterday, she got excited, as always, and she was coughing and had another seizure, but worse than the ones she'd had so far. She was weak on her legs last night, and looked at me when she was lying on the sofa, as if asking me to make it stop. That's what I read into her eyes anyway, as she struggled to keep her head up

She was quite bright this morning, but still a little unsteady on her feet and coughing badly. Vets at 4pm, and he saw and heard her coughing, and then said he could hear crackling on her chest for the first time and that her heart was working so hard just to do normal things, so everything was such an effort for her. She wasn't going to improve, just get worse, and I couldn't let her suffer, so I made THAT decision that we have to make when we have pets, and vet put her to sleep. She went very quickly and looked so peaceful. She will be cremated, as we never buried any of our dogs. She is dead now but still alive in my heart, and always will be

So R.I.P. sweet little old Millie, probably about 12/13 years old, you were here with me for just over two years, and loved me so much, the same as I loved you, and still love you. Running free now over Rainbow Bridge ♥

With her big brother Berry Bear ♥

I am so sorry. I feel for you.
Yes we have to make that decision that we owe it to our pets to make :A
Sounds like Millie had a couple of lovely years with you. I did smile when you were eating cake together the other day.

All the pets at Rainbow Bridge have a new friend to play with tonight:A

Agreed, this site was a Godsend when I needed somewhere to vent and ineed, just to talk.

That's what we are all here for, E. x
When one person talks, it makes it easier for another person to share what they are going through. I think that I can speak for the majority of people when it makes it a bit better to get something 'off of our chest'. It's out in the open and often a person will get lots of positive feedback and support from others that have been through something similar. If others haven't been through a similar experience, they are usually supportive and can come up with other ideas how to cope/get through it. Just a thought. :o
