Sorry not been on. I was away for a couple days at weekend and had Millie bathed and clipped right back while she was at boarding. Joy there keeps her in the house with her there, sleeping in her bed, to make sure she is OK. No seizures while she was in there or when I picked her up. However, when I was getting up yesterday, she got excited, as always, and she was coughing and had another seizure, but worse than the ones she'd had so far. She was weak on her legs last night, and looked at me when she was lying on the sofa, as if asking me to make it stop. That's what I read into her eyes anyway, as she struggled to keep her head up

She was quite bright this morning, but still a little unsteady on her feet and coughing badly. Vets at 4pm, and he saw and heard her coughing, and then said he could hear crackling on her chest for the first time and that her heart was working so hard just to do normal things, so everything was such an effort for her. She wasn't going to improve, just get worse, and I couldn't let her suffer, so I made THAT decision that we have to make when we have pets, and vet put her to sleep. She went very quickly and looked so peaceful. She will be cremated, as we never buried any of our dogs. She is dead now but still alive in my heart, and always will be

So R.I.P. sweet little old Millie, probably about 12/13 years old, you were here with me for just over two years, and loved me so much, the same as I loved you, and still love you. Running free now over Rainbow Bridge ♥

With her big brother Berry Bear ♥

Snap, I didn't mean that you go on. I've been and still am in that position with my dad. I really meant that you would know exactly how Saversue was feeling. x

Thank You all for your support and good wishes.
Just got home from the hospital after a pig of a day.
They decided to move Mum from one hospital to another without any notice or discussion. She was in terrible pain and I got really upset. I asked to speak to the Ward Manager, but was told he/she was in a meeting. No Care Plan in place and she was carted off like a piece of garbage with me trying to follow the ambulance, which put it's blue lights on at one stage to try and get through the traffic.
Got to the new hospital only to be told visiting time was over and I would have to wait two hours until next lot of visiting before I could see her.

Tomorrow morning I have to drive 80 miles to have Botox injections in my leg, otherwise won't be able to walk.
Just want to curl up in a ball and cry.

    re switching utility suppliers

we are all electric and on economy 7. when I put the figures through the comparison websites everything that seems to be cheaper is from companies I've never heard of.
so for now I am sticking with Scottish powers. I put metre readings in each month and I can adjust the direct debit myself downwards usually it's about £77 and I've got a little bit in credit.
it used to bother me a lot if I went into debit and I would put extra in to correct it but now I've come to the conclusion that there are other more pressing things to worry about :D

I do like the idea of changing suppliers and getting a cashback incentive though :)

I changed last week to so energy, supposedly saving £434 pa. £10 get out. worth it for the punt.

Snap, we all love your posts. I felt the comment mean that you would be sympathetic, not a moan at you. You are well loved here by all x

So get rid of a cold, give up smoking, get a sex life, get some vitamins and then what? We need Dotty. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • So sorry 3Dogs, read your post and my eyes filled with water. Millie is not suffering now.

Our Lab is going downhill, it's so painful to watch, just wish I could wind the clock back 10 years and see her bouncing through the rashes at the bottom of the field, occasionally stopping and sticking her head up so we could se where she was.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
