Sorry to turn this into LL question time with LEJC.......but........ Dd viewed the rental house last Monday, said she wanted it 2pm Monday afternoon and paid their £200 credit check fee, don't get me started on that one, they posted their forms on Monday night and Dd employer, my friend, received reference letter via email on Wednesday. She sent her reply on Wednesday and on Thursday her bfs employer said he had not received an email. So on Friday Dd rang the estate agent who said she hadn't dealt with the emails so she would find out and ring her back, which she didn't. So this morning Dd rang again and was told she would be in in fifteen minutes, so Dd rang back an hour later, spoke to someone else who said she was on annual leave!!!
So I rang and was told yes she was on annual leave until tomorrow, so I said that Dd had been told that it wasn't her dealing with the emails and he said well it must be her because there's only four of us and I've just asked the other two and they know nothing about it!
So do you think I'm over thinking this or is it starting to appear a bit fishy? Dd was told that the £200 secured it to them for one month so long as credit checks, which are find, and references come back ok.
I'm starting to panic thinking maybe they take £200 off lots of people all for the same property.0 -

DD1's landlord had someone out within 24 hours both times. Wonder if it's LEJC.
First time it was repaired and second time replaced for new. :T0 -

DD1 has combined washing machine/dryer due to lack of space and they are not allowed to hang washing outside. They also have dishwasher and built in fridge freezer.
Have you not....?
In the house we have fridge freezer dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and a dyson cordless
and in each of the flats ....fridge freezer,washer/dryer and dyson cordless
All have built in hobs and ovens
I do curtains too...or in the case of 1 flat where the windows are huge...they have made to measure blinds!
Ah you are not DD1's landlord, no dyson for her. :rotfl:0 -
Di...We use a LA on a tenant only find basis....we usually allow 10 days for reference checking so at this stage I wouldnt worry about it too much...they shouldnt offer to 2 sets once they have taken your money....the chances are that the LL has been told of the intention to let and hopefully there are no more viewings being done....
least thats the way we do it!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

I do love the dysons and they get a full bag of the tool attachments too...but only because I negotiated a deal with Dyson CS!....I certainly wouldnt have paid £60 for the attachments separately.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

purpledonkey wrote: »Was it you that spotted the dove glitch in SD? If so thanks (or to the original OP). I just got back from Westfield and they had 3 on the shelf, so cheekily asked the SA to check it for me. She was insistent they were £5.99 each, so I asked her to hit the total button and it changed to £3. She kept looking at it and saying 'that can't be right' :rotfl: Also bought some Bodyform if you're interested - currently 2 for £2 and an extra 10pts back per back for 'tampon tax'. Needs must
Well it was sort of me.I spotted the expired deal on HUKD as it had sold out online but knew when a travel set glitched before can't remember whether it was Dove or Nivea that it worked in store too so brought it over.
You have to thank zippy too as he was the one who tried it first. :A
They are far too quick to expire things over there as it has come back in stock online too a few times. :rotfl:
I was asked for £4.50 for my 6 vaselines today but surprised us both when SA hit pay and total went down to £3. :T There was no indication on SELs that any of it was 342. :cool:0 -
The John Frieda is saying oos but adding to the basket 2 for £10 is it worth having?
Edited to say I've now seen your edit to say 2 for £10, everyone will now think I'm nuts0 -

Pathetic isn't it?
Same goes for chocolate bars shrinking, very rare now to find a choc bar over 250 cals. Enforcing moderation on us but you can guess what happens - the mars bar that use to satisfy doesn't so people end up eating 2 or more which is worseSomething unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
