Mhoc you are very fortunate to have children that are able to return to the fold
That's what I was thinking. Poor me, my daughter met a loser online and decided to go out to Australia to meet him and ended up marrying him :( This was 8 years ago and I still cry at night and hope one day she will come back for good :o

Hugs, this is another transition time which must be even more painful for you.

Last year we though errant son had gone east forever and the Christmas visit would probably be his last trip home, always to live on the other side of the world and basically shutting it out altogether.

so when we did get him home in early July it was such an utter relief and now I still feel relieved that at least he is in Kent, 4 hours away and not in the Far east, 7 hours time difference and 2 days travelling ..

I've thought long and hard over this for the past few days...and maybe one of the reasons I'm not upset about the uni transition is simply that DS can come home,we will come home and whilst he's going to face huge challenges about living away from home he knows that it will always be there for him....
If only that were true of my shining star what I wouldn't give to have waved him off in a new uniform this morning xx

Oh no, hope it gets sorted out for you, after all the hassle you have had with it.
Thank you. And I just read about your OH's op, I hope everything goes well. Must be such a worrying time for you.

Sorry to hear about your DD gocat, it sounds an awful situation.

My DD will more than likely be off to uni next year. I will absolutely miss her like mad, we're very close. I've told her I will visit her lots and she can take me out and show me the student nightlife! :rotfl:
