The reason for the shopping earlier was that our freezer is nearly empty:o, just not been buying much at all with no real glitches on the things we would use. So I had to do a shop against T even at full price on essential items:eek:. Still better than the straight prices elsewhere at the moment.
I attempted a minor glitch - and it worked! A mix and match on these helped me get the 8 items:
1x Skittles Fruit Sweets (55G) £0.60 £0.40
1x Tic Tac Fresh Mints (18G) £0.60 £0.40
Bought with a pack of Maynard's Wine Gums on 3 for £1 (Wine Gums do not appear). Thanks Sal for that, again, from probably years ago - it's acted as an occasional tempter ever since:D. On this one, you do need either to buy both or to buy two of one as they are 2 for 80p at T.
And - they even pick up the 40p price on the Tic Tacs at M!
1x Tic Tac Fresh Mints (18G) £0.60 £0.40
Skittles returning 57p against M (I would not know - as no good price). The Tic Tacs are straight 40p in M. I was slightly surprised at the APG getting (what I believe to be:D) the correct price for M there as my experience has been that not many Ms have been showing the 40p offer. However, perhaps more have got it showing this week. Offer in M is supposed to be on until 28th June. (They might change SELs upwards on Monday!) The Tic Tacs are in various places in Ms - some around the SS areas, sometimes I peer around one of the staffed tills to have a look! I did see 40p prices in M yesterday. This shouldn't change for the rest of the week at least, although it could do so: but, as they've got the 40p price in their stores on Monday, wherever they get it from, I think it's less likely that it would suddenly change.
Look at Sains doubling the price of its Cornflakes:
2x ASDA Smartprice Corn Flakes (500G) £0.50 £1.00:eek:
So no good against there anymore. One of the few items and now, it's even more difficult. However, 1L CBY Veg. Oil is against S - useless against anywhere else it seems and, as A are cheaper on an own label item (Aldi are same price though), it's no use buying in any of the other main supermarkets as none of those now will give a voucher back to the price or match it - but, as A aren't 10% cheaper than one place, you'd now have to buy 7 more items at more cost than the 5p in 10% in order to get the 10% against S:mad:. Unless you have A discount card and then get 10% off 95p by just buying straight:cool:. Otherwise, may as well just buy at 95p:( if not already needing items against S.
My Sprouts picked up £1.00 price for M although we were desperate and I had to target T at same price:
1x ASDA Frozen for Freshness Button Sprouts (1KG) £1.00 £1.00
Goodnight - I'll see you later:wave:.0 -
