I think you will have to draw a blank with WB being able to cancel it then.

Quite probably PE are being silent in the hope you might drop the ball and not defend in time, while you are trying to push for cancellation. You have 33 days tops, from 6th June, because up to 5 days are added for service and the 28 days counts from court papers. But think '28' not 33...don't slip up.

DO NOT reply to any private messages from anyone with less than a thousand posts to their name, offering to 'help' as they could be anyone with a vested interest.

We will assist on the open forum here. Find some examples from 2016 by searching for 'defence' and adapt a defence to suit, then show us.

    Received as below from PE

    Dear

Thank you for your correspondence in relation to the above Parking Charge.

In order for ParkingEye to deal with your correspondence we will need a signed letter of authority from the registered keeper confirming you are authorised to act on their behalf.

    Kind regards,

Are you not the registered keeper then? Are you the hirer/lessee?

So why did you reply to letters addressed to her? I can never understand why people do this.

I normally deal with this sort of things, although you're right I could have asked her to mail them herself. What's the coarse of action now?

What C_m was saying was ... why did you reply in YOUR name? There was nothing to stop you dealing with it all in HER name, and the PPC would have been none-the-wiser. :)

No particular reason, lack of attention.

What do they mean with 'signed letter' are they looking for an email signed by her or a statement from her saying I can act on her behalf?

Or should I just ignore them and continue writing the statement for the court?

    Thanks

    you cannot "sign" an email

they would want a letter , on paper, as Judge Rinder would say

in other words she would have to give her written and signed permission to allow somebody else to act on her behalf , ie:- you

this is why people on here have hung their head in their hands when reading that you have done the above on her behalf without written permission from her

as RK, she should be dealing with it, signing letters etc, even if YOU are the one doing the work and she is signing and sending off the stuff, its not rocket science to understand , she is an adult , so she must deal with letters addressed to her, unless she gives permission for others to speak or act on her behalf

you are misleading people on here because up to now people thought the letters were addressed to you personally, not another

if this is a court case (or becomes one), then she is the one being taken to court , not you

Thank you for clarifying this Redx.

I do not wish to add any more confusion to this topic, so right now I realize I made a mistake on acting on her behalf and would simply like to know what to do to carry on.

She has sent an e-mail to PE signed by her from her e-mail address.
What we want to know now is what happens next. So she writes a statement to the court and what happens after that?
