I'm on the 750 price plan which is 750 free mins plus 50 free texts. I was originally paying £13.99 a month & it has now been reduced to £3.99 a month for the same price plan.0

They sent me an offer through the post I on the same contract as you and they just offered me £5 off a month. Think I will ring them up and see what they say.
As for you skintscotsman if you are that clever then why were you working for T-mobile in a call centre.0 -
Slightly off topic.
We have been offered a great deal with T-mobile, but we are worried about their network coverage.
How do you all find the network coverage?0 -
i also recieved the leaflet for £5 off my monthly bill and i called them up and got a free phone upgrade and also got the £5/month off.Remind people that profit is the difference between revenue and expense. This makes you look smart0

Many thanks to Anji, and everyone else who told their stories of getting line rental discounts. I plucked up the courage to call T Mobile, told them that I'd started the contract before moving into my first home, and now I didn't really need a mobile, particularly since T Mobile's line rental alone was nigh on £30 a month. Of course, I was suddenly offered these "special discounts" you've all mentioned.
These were the three options they gave me:
1) £10 reduction on my current line rental (From £17.50 a month to £7.50), with my current tariff of 75 anytime minutes. Because I'm a frequent texter, I also pay £10 a month for extra texts, but the nice girl couldn't discount that.
2) 200 cross net/off peak minutes + 100 texts free every month for £11 a month.
3) 750 off peak minutes to other T mobiles or landlines and 150 texts for £9.99 a month. Sounded like a good deal, but any peak time calls came in at around 50p a minute, and I do make the odd daytime call, so that was a no-go.
Granted all these options tie you in for another year, but given that I was looking to switch to Pay As You Go, which would have cost me at least £10 a month for the quantity of texting that I do, I think my £11 tariff will cover it
