Well, you're certainly in the right place for getting help and advice with sorting your finances out. I think the reason some people's comments might seem so harsh is because sometimes you need to be told it straight, and often your friends or family aren't the ones to do it. Assume that everyone's comments were made with the best intentions - we are mostly very friendly on here :-)

+ Most of us are here because we (or want to be) are finically savvy, so someone coming on here saying they've spent all their money on booze and partying and need to borrow more money is going to cause a few heads.

Honestly, you get one life and you should live it - but managing your money is important, your 30 and can't access an extra £200 if you need it, I'm guessing family are saying no because you have borrowed from them in the past to.

Go have a good holiday and come back and start clearing the overdraft. Then you can start saving for your next big adventure side by side.
People don't know what they want until you show them.

I've actually been on holiday I got back last week

What a disaster, ended up using my debit card not once but twice! Far too drunk to have any self control!

My family said no because they never had it! I've actually borrow a lot of cash to them in the past so they always try help me out if they can but I like to try do it on my own

And yep I'm on my !!! now with payday 3 weeks away!

But I think the penny has finally dropped with me and I've realised that I might think I can afford festivals holidays and nights but in reality I can't!

Time to knuckle down and get out my overdraft for good!! Thanks for all the comments anyway guys I will probably be thankful for the harsh ones in the end :)

Now, time to get info on best way to clear this overdraft haha

Might be worth popping in the Debt-Free Wannabe section :)
