£500 is plenty of spending money. Thats £35 a day!!
Overspending at a festival by £200 is quite some going. Any fool would realise they are going massively over their budget. Especially if, as your name suggests, you are 31 years old....

i'm 30 till november
didn't realise people on here were so critical
I've got £560 of croatian Kunas and just going to make that last until the friday i get paid

Croatia is relatively good value - when I went it seemed cheaper than the UK in many ways as long as I was a bit careful. I'm not sure what will have happened with the exchange rate due to today's crash with the pound though!
Buying food at supermarkets etc and not eating out for every meal saves a lot of money and you can have a picnic on the beach
I hope you have a great time!0 -
Well i've looked at beer and food prices, a pint of beer seems to be around £2 which is quite cheap!0

With everything you have mentioned, I cannot understand why you would be expecting sympathy. You are plenty old enough to know better. I would cut back on the drinking and partying- that will save you a small fortune.Minimalist

It is so easy to over-spend at a festival because everything there is so over-priced.
With any luck Croatia will be better value than the festival and your money will go further, despite the recent devaluation of the GBP.
Regards how to find £300 before your departure date I wish I knew because I desperately need a new laptop and that amount would come in handy..0 -
