The kids kindle fire 7 dropped in price last week so ordered with vouchers. Thanks for the camelcamelcamel tip Cinny!
Well done with the Christmas shopping. Good luck with the no spend month!
I have had a busy week last week so need to catch up with some life admin this week like sorting breakdown cover and car insurance. Got the morning off tomorrow for Heidi's development check so will drop her at childminder after and try and get a bit done before work. Come down with a cold as well so think i'm a bit run down after last week.0 -
Weekend was lovely, thanks Cinny. It was my birthday yesterday and he bought me present even though I never mentioned it before that it was my birthday. He really is special. Little Kavics likes him a lot so we shall see. I have my worries though but trying to keep them for myself.
No Xmas shopping here yet, just not in the mood. I am going to have some time off next week so hoping that I can get some done.
No moneysaving either, failed the October challenge miserably.0 -
He sounds really lovely Kavics.
I seem to be having a couple of good days money wise. Got paid some money i was owed for selling a ticket ages ago. Also getting £60 for doing a study and won £5 on a prize draw for the same survey company. Making Christmas a lot easier.
I was given an extra day off work for completing a training program and so am taking a day off in a couple of weeks to hopefully get most the Christmas shopping done.0 -
Ps happy birthday for Monday Kavics! x0

I didn’t quite make my goal of an extra £100 in October but did manage an extra 84.06. I have just done the November budget and we will be short by £175.00 so need to make at least that. I am going for a no spend month and I’m hoping the ends will meet by month end.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳

Happy belated birthday Kavics!
Good money day here, got a £500+ flight delay claim through from about 5 years ago. It'll get swallowed up on house buying bills, and I need to pay the excess for my travel insurance claim but very much appreciated! Also trying to reclaim some packaged bank account fees so fingers crossed on that, being off work has at least given me time for money making! I had my first survey pay out too so thanks Wendz for the recommendations

Glad you had a nice birthday, Kavics
Plenty of time left in the year to do Christmas shopping/meet any goals you have!
Sounds like everyone is doing well with making extra money! I've redeemed a £41.72 voucher for Amazon today and I've picked up swagbucks again and should be able to cash out soon. I (really) want a pressure cooker so I'm planning on saving up until Boxing Day and ordering on if there are any good deals.
Day 2 into my no spend month and I'm feeling fine. However, it's not even been 48 hours so it's not really a test of anything yet :rotfl:0 -
Going strong so far Cinny, I have faith in you!
Good news about the flight delay pay Archers, glad the survey sites are helping too.
If anyone is interested Quidco are doing a comp , you need to sign up on the banner on the site (called snow me the money) and there are two clues a day and you just search for the sites. I won a £1 on one today and looks like people are winning £5, £10 etc on the comp board so worth a go for minimal effort.0 -
Thanks for that Wendz, won £5 and 10p! Will defintely be checking in on that and getting Rich to check his too. All to the pressure cooker fund :rotfl:
I feel virtuous! Stopping by Home Bargains on the way home to get things for painting, which is a budgeted spend so fine. The challenge will be making it to the tills with just rollers/brushes0 -
Evening all!
It's been an age since I've been on here but good to see a few familiar nameshope everyone is all good and doing well. Dinah, I don't how you're coping with everything, you're a trooper! Hope you and NIM are ok.
I'm hoping to check in more often 'cause my spending has gotten a little all over the place and there's nothing like MSE to help you take a look at everything and keep it all in check!
Little update: I'm living with family, been with my new fella nearly 18 months and he's just bought a flat but too early for moving in talk!I've paid off my ex using a loan and now trying to pay that off so I can focus on my house deposit (and holiday fund). That's the plan anyway!
Hope everyone has a good Bonfire weekend!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21
