At least you are facing up to things Dinah and getting an action plan in place. That is great that NIM is talking too.

No nap time today. I tried, I failed. At least hopefully he'll go to bed on time tonight and I can get a bit done then.

I'll take the Amazon referral, will pass one on to my mum too if that's okay? She buys almost everything through amazon so will definitely get some use out of it!

Yesterday sounds like it was productive! It must feel good to be getting back on top of things and I'm so happy to hear NIM has joined in too. Be so much easier if you're both in it together - so when one person has a bad day there's the other to keep you on track!

I'm crafting a lot of presents this year and have some pretty cute things to make, so if you're planning on doing the same to keep costs down and want some ideas let me know :)

Absolutely Cinny, could you pm me you and your mums email address please and I can refer you. Annoyingly they don't give me a link to share.

Not really thinking of presents yet, but always open to ideas. Time is a major factor though.

Due to bucket it down with temps of 4-7C all weekend - can anyone think of anything FREE (not cheap, must be free) outside the house we could do?At the moment the only idea I have is the library, but only Grace is allowed at their kids session, Ben is too small. I'm on my annual day out with mum tomorrow, so trying to find something NIM and the kids could possibly do for an hour or two.

First spend of the month (excluding bills) - £5.69 on a tin of black paint for Ben's bed. If I can get him to nap today I'm going to try to do the masses of blue, will feel like just little bits left if that's done.

If we wanted to do a free activity and didn't want to spend money we'd go visit friends with kids and bring a packet of biscuits, or get them to come to us!

Hi all! Kept forgetting to post this week!

Free stuff... not sure. Wrapping up warm/dry and going on a puddle hunt?? Doing something in the garden? Doing a Pinterest Mum craft?! I don't like rainy days as it really makes our flat feel absolutely tiny!

Well done on getting your numbers sorted, half the battle is knowing what you're fighting so that's good. The monthly overspend is not so good, hopefully you'll be able to bring more money in.

What are you crafting for Christmas Cinny? I'm in a crafty Christmas swap with a Mum group and the person crafting for me is a mega knitter/crocheter and keeps going on about how epic her make for Zach is and how much she loves it and wants to keep it etc and the pressure is on for me to do something awesome for her and I'm drawing a total blank!!! :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

No mum crafty stuff as I'm out for the day - I'll be doing that on Sunday - baking/crafty day.

Reason I'm so keen on inside is Grace is getting very huffy and puffy in cold weather, not sure if this is the usual lung/heart stuff or if we're going to need to see if asthma is rearing it's head too.

NIM is going around the local takeaways this evening, seeing if anyone needs a delivery guy a couple of nights a week, and I've asked my dad to keep me in mind if he needs anyone else on the bar in the run up to Christmas. Looks like most of my classes are starting in January so I can't commit to evenings long term as I'll be working them in the new year anyway.

Voice is back but cold is still making my sinuses feel like stone, very glad today is a cosy day at home, lots of stories and cuddles with Ben.
