I received a final notice letter but I assume this is the last before a CCJ? Thought I should post it so you can have a gander. I've been way too busy lately and was going to leave it until the probable CCJ like the advice but thought I should see if there's anything out of thr ordinary here..

    NO NO NO

they have to start a court case , pay for solicitors etc and actually win the case!

only then if you do not pay can they apply for a CCJ!

its going to cost them a hell of a lot of money to get their £100 back , and solisitors costs are capped in the CC

Sorry I meant letter to start a court case, not sure what it's called. I guess I should ignore? I've ignored their phone calls, only had one but blocked their number as I knew it was them on the new phone. I can see why people would pay the £154. Stuff like this is scary :(

BWLegal with their scare tactics, they used to be Ghostbusters you know
This is a final notice pleading for money

1: Only a judge can make a ruling about a CCJ and that is if you lost.
2: They refer to the Beavis case and as usual BWLegal are spouting rubbish

The way BWLEGAL are going, there will not be enough courts to deal with these cases.

Just wait until you get a real LBA (Letter before action) or court papers and come back here

Love the rubbish about if the IAS declined an appeal, a judge would come to the same conclusion. ???

BWLegal must be reminded that a county court uses a real judge, not some back street assessor who runs a kangaroo court, namely the IAS.

    As the prankster says
"BW Legal are therefore early contenders for The Prankster's "Most Incompetent Solicitors of The Year" annual award."

Just to clarify.. if it DID go to court, even if this isn't a definite... are we talking court as in me there in a suit with a lawyer/solicitor or is it done remotely? I'm a bit uneducated in this area.

You have been watching too much TV.

It's a room you go into around a table, one side is the judge and you and their solicitor facing him, no wigs, no jury, just a simple fact talking case.
Being smart is a good idea.

But, this may never get that far, as said if you get court papers return here and there are plenty of wise people here to help you

BW Legal's letter is dated 18th July and states you have 10 days to pay "this date being the 25th July".

    Can't do sums either!

I thought that but don't they mean 10 days from the 25th, so that would be today... right? Surely they wouldn't do 10 days from when they wrote the letter, I don't think I got it until the 22nd maybe..
