Getting rid of car parts

Shame you don't know if they are model specific. You could have contacted a local car club if they were older parts. I used to get regular calls from people disposing of Triumph parts that I would collect and autojumble. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0

Local scrap yard?
Local Facebook buying/selling site?0 -
Why not post photos here and see if any of us can identify them? You might make a tidy sum if you know what they are before listing on ebay.0

dont beay asnything you're not 100% sure about. If you sell faulty items buyer will be annoyed and leave negative feedback. Even if you're selling as scraps and non-working, some muppet will gamble, find it's faulty and leave negative feedback because they fell you intentionally ripped them off.0

Post Photo's on here and then once a model / make is identified put it on a forum.
Some S/H car parts can have quite some value.
It only takes one useful part for forum member to be happy to collect the lot.0 -
Wheelie bin?
I managed to get rid of a VW beetle engine in a wheelie bin, it made a right racket when it dropped into the bin wagon..0 -

<cough> Been there, done that. With a two-litre Citroen CX straight-four block with crank and pistons...
The bin wagon swallowed the entire bin. And kept it. I wasn't very popular with the five others I was sharing the house with.0 -
I had lots of scrap wood in the garden, I sawed them up into small pieces and disposed of them in small batches. mustve taken me 2 months to get rid of it all but I did save £15 on the councils bulk waste collection. LOL0

Ok not very MSE but if you are desperate to get rid and the house was a bargain, why not see if a local man with a van will sort it for you, they usually advertise on local Facebook pages, yes of course they will charge you but it may be worth it just to get the stuff out of your hair. goes without saying, check they are licensed to do this and are not cowboys who are just going to fly tip it. Or a small skip will cost about £100.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0
