asda's sardines are just as good as branded.Just have to be careful how you open the tin as they dont have a puller or key. My neighbour recently hurt herself with the puller type and prefers to use the tinopener.
Asdas drinking chocolate is nice too,not at sweet as cadburys.

oh, but sainsbury's basics jaffa cakes are great value for money. Not as good as McVities, or who ever the brand is, but a really good attempt. And you get double the amount for half the price!

hmmm, well, I bought sponge scourers from 'savers' the other day. 10 for 30odd pence. They are great - as good as any branded or supermarket equivalents. I would recommend them.

I can go one better than that! I accidentally put a dirty sponge scourer in the washing machine and it came out good as new. I'm surprised it didn't break up and cover the wash with little bits of sponge. I'll do it again, but I wouldn't use them on the dishes, I'd demote the recycled sponges to toilet cleaning.

I already wash JCloths and dirty shoe polish rags. My mum used to laugh at me for washing disposable cleaners but I don't care :p

I the have found the Mcvities ones are a little bit to orangey and sweet for me.

I buy tescos value brand at 40p for 24 or Asda's value brand for 20p for 12 nice as well.

Not bad for an occasional treat.

I prefer Sainsbury's Corn Flakes and Weetabix clones. Oh, and their Baked Beans too. I expect someone will tell us that they are all make by Kelloggs or Heinz!!!

Lidl's bacon is heaps better (and no white gung either!).

Lidl do a pack of frozen chicken burgers which are a million times nicer than Birds Eye or any other I've tried. They're in a green box and have a little rosemary in for flavour.

Must go and get some of this lovely sounding bacon you all keep suggesting ;)

I have to agree there! The orance ones a delicious, as are the raspberry ones. So much nicer than the expensive mainstream brand Jaffa Cakes.

Tesco's value Bourbon biscuits (if you can find them, my Tesco's hasn't had them for a while) are the best Bourbon biscuits for any money, and I seem to remember they're 46p per pound, which is a great way to fill up hungry kids on a car journey when they would have had unhealthy rubbish anyway (and not any more messy than crisps or sweets!)...
