The few times I got bonus like £20 or £30 and this was when RM where back huge profits only to go back to the government, the bosses got like thousands, and made me sick and got right up my back because it was us the workers that did all the workers the bosses were rear behinds, Adolf Hitler mentality and spent most of the day arguing which was one was going to get the coffee from the coffee machine.

I just missed out on this bonus because I left partly because of bullying by bosses and stress, depression cause by the work load.

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you

The Royal Mail only made a huge profit due to the MSE freebies board. 1a_y_tongue1.gif

my regular postie is fantastic and thumbs up for royal mail there, but if hes not on then its appauling, post is left hanging out of the letter box and regularly get the neighbours post cause he cant be bothered to walk up two drives.

i live in a residential street, no where near any shops and once had a letter for Blockbuster video, the only thing similar was the word "School", every other bit of the address was different.

so yes royal mail may be posting 93% of things on time, but WHERE?

Our regular postie was off for 4 weeks. Evidently he came back and got loads of complaints from all his regulars because all the temps had been delivering random letters to random houses. He felt that it was his job, bless him as he's so friendly, to go round to each house apologising for the upset! Not his fault at all, just the muppets that he has no control over!

I think the vast majority of Royal Mail staff deserve their bonus - they have to work unsociable hours and they have to deal with us whinging and being aggressive about stuff that is not their fault. I am frequently going down to the collections office to get my post (because I'm not in during the day) and the abuse that the poor guys and girls get on the counter is shocking - yes they are working for the company that hasn't delivered your mail but it is nothing to do with them specifically that your item wasn't delivered to your door, or they didn't push it through the letter box or it is at the collections office - shouting at them is not going to solve your problem. I personally don't see what crozier has done for his three million pieces of silver - I suppose the profit is a good thing, maybe they can start investing or is all that money going back to the treasury after the staff get their bonus'?

Yes some individual postmen are good, some awful. Well, their site isn't working right now, just when I need it!

My regular postie is fantastic as well, and I normally get my mail between 07h30 and 09h00.

But he only works Tues-Sat - on Mondays we get a substitute and get the mail any time from Noon to 6pm.

    Still we're luckier than most.

    Hi Everyone

Thanks for all your replies :T

I was wondering whether this is a country wide problem or just a few sorting offices? A friend of mine has told me(she works for Royal Mail) that temps are not allowed to deliver recorded delivery post or small parcals, so what they do is give the temps the cards to post ( the sorry you wern`t in ones) and make you feel like your going made because when you find them you ask yourself why you missed the doorbell  No, your are not going deaf they didn`t ring it in the first place! I also rang up when I missed mine to arrange another delivery and was told I would have to go down and pick it up because they had to much stuff to do!

We've had all sorts of problems with our post. It arrives at all sorts of times - earliest is usually around 11am, latest generally is around 2.30pm, although once we received it at 9.30pm!!!

Had to complain a while ago because our post was being shoved in other people's letterboxes, and we were getting neighbours post. So it wasn't even a matter of saving his legs - he was still delivering to every house, just the wrong post!! After I complained, it got better for a while, but its getting worse again. Its not so bad getting someone else's post - at least I know I'm putting it back in the mail box or delivering it myself - its what happens to the post I'm supposed to get? Unless I'm expecting it, I don't even know its missing, and I'm sure some people don't bother re-mailing it.

The other thing that annoys me is the trail of elastic bands he leaves strewn behind him. They could save themselves a fortune just keeping hold of them and re-using them!

I had some work sent to me some time back, and still have not received it - the poor chap had to re-dictate and re-send it.

I also complained about several missing items of post using their website complaints thing - for one, which was a birthday card for my son, I got some stamps as compensation, but the other, which was a very late delivery of a parcel, they insisted they needed to see the box before they could give me compensation, and stated that I hadn't given them half the information they had requested. As it took them so long to reply, by the time I received their request, I'd gotten rid of the "evidence"!!

The best bit was, when I complained that our post was arriving rather late every day, I got a reply back saying that if I didn't like the time I was getting my post, I could always go collect it myself!!
