I've not really read it but I've got back to find the TV news has been covering it throughout whilst I've been out. Really terrible. Looks like a "Good Samaritan" situation - the type of person that gets involved - and sadly it's led to this. I could have got in things like that, to try to stop them, years ago but these days sadly it's best to ignore something if it happens:( and let it sort itself out. In any event, use of weapons to shoot people is beyond ordinary anyway.

The latest update on that link states that she has died.

    Good morning all...

Have a lovely time with the family Nanny...
Good to see you popping in QoC...Hope work is going well...

A quick Q ...on the back of something I saw on tv this morning....Whats the difference between a Disney world and a Disney Land...they seem to have opened up a new and rather expensive one in China....but it made me think whats the significance between the name differences of the 7 dotted around the world....anyone know or want to throw in a suggestion?

Disney "world" is the one in Orlando with all the parks. Disney "land" are al the others around the world that don't have all the parks. Or so I've read anyway

Here's my suggestion (for what it's worth :p):

New thread gets opened by either Savvy (as seems to be the general consensus) or me (to avoid disagreements about the OP).

First post contains only a short intro to the thread (to avoid the problems people have viewing when on the new forum version and some devices)

Second post by Savvy is the current original first post with all the info and then posts (as many as are needed) are the Savvy lists.

Thread title is probably best kept to being factual rather than the fun ones of previous incarnations so newbies can tell at a glance what the thread is about. So the Elite (something, something) and chat thread explains to all what the thread is about (as in the long running ones on Old Style.)

Just a suggestion as I said but it might save days of fretting over the who, what, why etc and just get the job done ;)

I was going to suggest the same.

    I vote Redfox's way :)

    Afternoon,
I have been lurking the last few days because of the unpleasantness and targeting of certain people, one of them being nerfy, yes i know he can be a pain in the a rse but i am sure i know him well enough for him not to do the real nasty thing on JG
Alot of people got what they wanted, although its been reinstated and now it seems just because he started the thread people want it changed as its been made permanent .
Why can't things be left like they are?

    Well said bubbles...:T...I'm lurking too..

Likewise bubbles..I do not understand it myself....I just wish everyone could get along but like you say...'hey ho' that is the way of the world...I try to understand why people get so upperty about things...Personally I do not like the word Elite...we are all equals in my opion...we are all made of flesh and blood.... but if it is to stay then that's OK...Someone originally started the ball rolling on this thread.....and it is not for me to say what goes or what doesn't...I just enjoy the chat and a bit of banter...I hope that mine does not upset anyone and it is certainly not meant to offend anyone in the slightest and I would like to think that it is taken that way...

My son is ok thankyou although he has been feeling under the weather this past week....probably due being in Africa...He was bitten a lot whilst there....Mosquitos..had to take the Malaria tablets daily too....Seems better today though.....Thank you for asking...Unfortunately not had too much time to spend with him due to work commitments..

Hoping that you are well and enjoying life..:p

Bubbs....I think one of the main reasons why some might be unhappy about leaving the thread as it is might be because of the positioning of Savvys list posts....its one of the only threads where they have become buried some pages in and really it might be easier for Savvy and those that use the lists to have them on post 2 onwards....

I know Nerfy kindly inserted some links into the first post possibly aided by DeeDee who probably told him how to do it...but that increases the size of post 1 which on some devices when you view it comes up at the beginning of each page.

The new thread will be a permanent home so its probably the time to make it as user friendly to all.....

it is good to see you back..I've missed you x

    I agree LEJC,

I have no objection to Nerfys thread but if going forward it's going to be a permanent thread then it makes sense for Savvys lists to be at the start.
