Interesting shop today. I went to get some batteries from Argos using the £3 British Gas voucher. No problem there, but I then went past Rymans and saw them half price, so took the batteries back to Argos and got them from Rymans. This was Energiser 24 packs, ended up getting one AA and one AAA pack for £9.98 total. Anyway, the interesting part was the refund in Argos. I was refunded the whole £9.99 rather than £6.99. I guess they probably could not refund my voucher?

Here's my suggestion (for what it's worth :p):

New thread gets opened by either Savvy (as seems to be the general consensus) or me (to avoid disagreements about the OP).

First post contains only a short intro to the thread (to avoid the problems people have viewing when on the new forum version and some devices)

Second post by Savvy is the current original first post with all the info and then posts (as many as are needed) are the Savvy lists.

Thread title is probably best kept to being factual rather than the fun ones of previous incarnations so newbies can tell at a glance what the thread is about. So the Elite (something, something) and chat thread explains to all what the thread is about (as in the long running ones on Old Style.)

Just a suggestion as I said but it might save days of fretting over the who, what, why etc and just get the job done ;)

Thanks Red fox...I'll wade in with my vote for Savvy to open it (not that I have anything against you..but he did put himself up for the job earlier)...good idea about a brief into on page 1 and then the main body of the thread can kick off from page 2 onwards...

...i'll back away with any more ideas going forward...and see you all on the otherside in our new permanent forever home....

please can I bags the back bedroom with the view of the garden......

I thoroughly agree it should be Savvy, and would much prefer it if it was. I only mentioned me doing it as a fallback should he not want to. :)

    Afternoon,
I have been lurking the last few days because of the unpleasantness and targeting of certain people, one of them being nerfy, yes i know he can be a pain in the a rse but i am sure i know him well enough for him not to do the real nasty thing on JG
Alot of people got what they wanted, although its been reinstated and now it seems just because he started the thread people want it changed as its been made permanent .
Why can't things be left like they are?

    Afternoon bubbs

You are such a lovely person bubbs and I know you don't like to think unkindly of anyone

However Nerfy has been more than a pain in the bum for sometime
He has been very unkind to the nightshift and they have retaliated which in my mind has only encouraged him more .He also said some very crude things about zippys wife.
I don't think for a minute that he had anything to do with the jg thing and think that the ppr system is very unfair.

I am also not sure where his loyaltiesl are.

Savvy as far as I'm aware has never sided with anyone or been unkind.

    Howdy all,

Anyone read the awful news about my local MP Jo Cox? How awful. I hope she recovers and the moose that attacked her gets the punishment he deserves. I understand people disagree over things but to go round attacking people like that is disgusting. Please can you all pray for her.

On a side note, half my local ex Netto Asda's cleaning products were on clearance. It seemed like it was the second lot of clearance.
