The mechanic actually recommended not changing it,
in his words "don't bother it'll cost more than it's worth and it'll still run fine, just don't rev it too high!"
He recommends getting it serviced (not by him may I add) so he's not trying to take me to the cleaners.
I'm going to get it fully serviced next week, not push it while driving and start to casually look for a second car!0 -
I don't think the throttle body itself could be at fault; it's only a flap in a tube. Maybe the throttle position sensor which is often attached.
Anyway the main problem is your oil consumption; either rings, valve seals, or a leak.0
