It's interesting isn't it that they say:

The Financial Enforcement Company (FEC) has offices strategically based around the UK

Yet they were only formed on three months ago, what a quick expansion for such a new company that has no history what so ever, that doesn't even seem to boast of belonging to any trade bodies etc:

http://www.datalog.co.uk/browse/detail.php/CompanyNumber/10055453/CompanyName/THE+FINANCIAL+ENFORCEMENT+COMPANY+LIMITEDTheir web sitelists none of these other offices, but interestingly Flexy Offices who are on site state:

Flexy Office provides a 'Virtual Office'
service; with a dedicated telephone number, calls are answered in your company name. Calls can then be transferred to any number, giving the impression that you are in your London office. We can also provide a Canary Wharf mailing address service and boardroom facility

    http://local.standard.co.uk/company/438747976384513

Of course this is only supposition, but then companies house don't actually list them as being registered there either:

All looks very fishy to me!

Once your debtor is traced and located, we make contact by letter, electronic means, telephone and in person. Failure agree repayment terms will result in court proceedings and a warrant of execution being obtained. One of our High Court Enforcement Bailiffs will then attend in person, often outside of usual office hours, to collect your debt.

The FEC they will! So is this pack of lies a matter for Trading Standards, or since it's on a website is it the ASA?

We received one of these scummy / scammy Notice of Debt Assignment letters today - this concerns an alleged New Generation invoice which we've never even seen.

The Financial Enforcement Company will be a debt collection agency not bailiffs, I doubt it says anything like this on their scummy letters does it?

Actually, this particular letter does say something like this - the footer of the letter includes the statement "Debt Recovery Bailiffs".

    Very naughty.
  • "We place our decades of specialist experience within the PCN industry into maximising our collection rate" ......that is why they are so good

    They need sorting out!

Impersonating bailiffs? Criminal offence under the Administration of Justice Act 1970 I believe.

Also, although FEC's letter contains the IPC Accredited Operator Roundel, the IPC website doesn't list The Financial Enforcement Company Limited as a member of their Accredited Operator Scheme.

Falsely claiming to be an approved member of an ATA is a breach of Company Trading Disclosure Regulations isn't it?

Is it possible that these bods, Antony Roberts and Paulette Roberts, have been trained by Will Hurley and John Davies to be used as another menace from the Gladstone gang and the IPC members ?

    BIG failure if they have

Trading Standards reporting is a must and as Dazster says, the ASA as it is an internet site

Let's hope the Prankster picks this up, I have emailed him with this thread
  • Sadly another bunch of shysters appear to have set up a debt collection company.

Time will tell whether they intend to follow the ethical practices prescribed by the CSA...or not.

Just to confirm that neither of the Roberts' is currently recorded as a Certificated Bailiff, nor do either of them have an application to become one under consideration. Neither of them is a HCEO (High Court Enforcement Officer - what used to the Sheriff's Officer). These records are all in the public domain and are easily accessible - before anyone slings any accusations about backdoor enquiries having been made.

However, like several others who skip the light fantastic at the far reaches of legality the Roberts have probably realised that you can run a so-called enforcement business as a papermill. That is you do not necessarily need boots on the ground nor any real qualification. All you need is a PC, the ability to understand the process and print and post letters at the appropriate point because, as we know all too well, a sizeable proportion of those who get such letters will just pay up. If push really comes to shove then there are plenty of guns for hire.

This may or may not have come about as a result of their association with those scions of the enforcement officers world - DCBL.

An optimist would suggest that we have yet to reach the nadir of debt "enforcement" in South Wales.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(
