My daughters mobile phone is on Talk Talk, we thought we had a good deal but this month the data has been used up within days and its now up at 103.00 even tho they suspended the account 2 days ago and the phone has been turned off!!!!!!!!! When I have looked through the itemised usage is 2.86mb that its one the bill millions of times sometimes there are 10 to 20 all within the same minute!!!!!!!!!! Also when in the house she is connected to the wifi (talktalk wifi which again is rubbish)
How is this possible, I have turned the background data off the apps, is this a problem with talktalk?
One not very happy customer!!!!!!

I have turned off the mobile data and she only uses it when not in the house, i turned all all the things that use data in the background but i left you tube and facebook (which she doesn't use maybe once a mth she looks at it) I could understand if there was lots of different amounts on the bill but most is 2.86 or 2.85 and the bill has added up to £103 with another 11 days till the bill!!!!!!!Light bulb moment - 18th Sept 2006 DFW 88:ADD1 17/1/04 (9 weeks early):ADD2 1/9/07 (4 weeks early) :ADS 5/7/2011 (5 weeks early)

My son had a similar issue and it turned out to be youtube, which used 4mb every few seconds when used outside the house. I think there was a setting on his phone (iphone) which showed which apps were using the data. So try turning off youtube and facebook as well and see if that makes a difference.0

I have done them all now, my main concern is that its using all through the night when I know my daughter is asleep!!!!!!! She doesn't really use her phone outside of the house unless its a txt (imessage) to me or a phone call and she has her friends Wifi all set up on her phone too.Light bulb moment - 18th Sept 2006 DFW 88:ADD1 17/1/04 (9 weeks early):ADD2 1/9/07 (4 weeks early) :ADS 5/7/2011 (5 weeks early)

If your WiFI in the house is poor its probably your settings on the router or the phone .0

If its all showing in the same minute, clearly there is a problem and even talk talk can't get out of it. Worth pursuing it with them.0

In my son's case, he didn't have to be physically watching you tube for it to notch up 4mb every few seconds, it did it in the background. You don't turn the router off at night do you?0 -
Just turn OFF mobile data and keep it Off0
