Hi,
Thanks dazster. I had been reading on the forum that they are a kangaroo court.
You're a real good'un.:T:A0 -
You don't get an e-mail saying,
"The operator has made made their Prima Facie Case on xx/xx/xxxx".
unless you have started an IAS appeal. So having started it, you might as well file an appeal. Go back online, download their evidence for safety, and consider your appea.
Otherwise, they will just win by defaultDedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
Whatever you do do not even contemplate paying.
I'm on a mobile thing at the moment so it's difficult to give you a full answer, however for now gooogle "parking prankster optical illusion"From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
Rather than just ignore, why not take the ball into their court and complain, complain, complain.
Complain to the City Council, the Councillor for the ward, the Tourist Office, your MP, your local Trading Standards Officer, (in writing only), local papers and radio and TV stations, etc., etc., etc.
The more trouble you cause, the more it will cost them. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
:)hi ,
I had merely applied for an appeal to IAS, but hadn't started it
Thanks hoohoo

Hi,
Thanks for the load of places to write to - I sure will let them know of it.
Cheers mate:)0 -
Nobody could see how the vehicle is parked on double red lines on their CCTV images.
-- gooogle "parking prankster optical illusion". You cannot see the people clearly either.
Thanks0 -

I don't think so, hoohoo? Things changed in recent months, albeit I have not tried an IAS 'intent' myself to test it.
The OP 'registers intent' to appeal, after that the prima facie case is presented and the person can decide whether to appeal. Unless you know differently I think people can stop there and lots of posters have done. No-one has come back and said they lost by default, an appeal they never lodged.
I suppose it depends on what 'registering intent' commits you to but no poster here has mentioned any issue in doing this and stopping before actual appeal. We've encouraged it, so the PPC has to show their cards.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry I've been away for 4 days and had no internet, so couldn't reply.
:TThanks Coupon-mad, as you say:"No-one has come back and said they lost by default, an appeal they never lodged."
I had merely "applied to appeal" and received an e-mail saying, "The operator has made their Prima Facie Case on xx/xx/xxxx".
I have not gone any further officially on the IAS website.
Cheers again mate::A0
