£17 paid today to main cc
Just had a hell of a shock. Logged on to my internet banking just to check what pennies of interest my savings account got this month and if a payment from a survey site I'm waiting for has gone in yet and noticed that my current account was overdrawn by more than the authorised amount. Although I have been using the overdraft (free up to £250) to prevent paying interest on my everyday cc, there's no way I'd gone over the limit. Like a lot of us on here I'm very careful with the money and any use of cc or overdraft is controlled not random so I know exactly where I should be. Checked the statement and £390.70 had gone out to a company I'd never heard of. Cue frantic phone call to bank, who promptly lived up to their excellent customer service reputation and sorted it all out for me, crediting the amount back, cancelling the DD for 3 further payments and putting a care message on account that means no new DDs can be set up with checking with me. Problem is I don't know whether it was genuine error on someone's behalf or whether someone was trying a scam. Either way it shows the value of checking statements and accounts regularly.
Golly that sounds so scarey Jet - but worth reminding folk as now I have a CAP money budget I don't check my statements as much as before....Florence_J wrote: »Payday tomorrow, can't wait to PAD again.
Yeah padding is a tad addictive Florence
This isn't even a pad (Had to go into savings for board games for boxing day/new year LOL - one of mine is a collectors item and has missing pieces) - but anyhow
Mad crazy mode decided to try making my breakfast in a posh smaller bowl than normal in microwave and see if it covered the entire microwave in porridge (cos I got a new microwave the other week from charity shop) - it didn't!!! So that's saved at least £2 in sales for breakfast (deep) bowls :money:
Catch you at the weekend paddingtons

I believe in the power of PAD
