    Hey All,

Hope you've had a good weekend so far. Welcome to the fold Alana, you're in good company and you'll be surpised how much you can chip away at your debt and how quickly it can happen!

My PAD is £400 to MBNA courtesy of a car insurance pay out. I crashed my car at the end of October and I have been hobbling on and off buses ever since, but the car was a write off and so I received £2,400 for it (I kept schtumn about the fact that I think the insurance company over estimated its value :rotfl:) Anways, my brother-in-law has given me a car for £300 instead of selling it for at least 5 times that amount! So I am both lucky and extremely grateful and I am going to help him out with some HR stuff for his business as a way of thanking him.

So I am using the pay out to clear some debts, put a chunk away in my car fund, as my premium will now be scarily high . I can also have a moderately better Christmas now, as I start a new temporary part time job tomorrow working in a school office from 10am to 2pm 3 days a week. So the remainder of my payout and my wages will mean that I can keep afloat over the christmas as I will not be working, as the role is with an agency. But hopefully, 2017 will be better than this year, and I will be able to find another job/temp role in January a little quicker than I found this one...:)

    xx
