:( Did you get charged interest because you made an additional payment Kirsty?

Yes Dizzy :( Everytime I make an additional payment they charge 56 days interest on the additional amount paid...it has almost 3 years left to run so overpaying incurs much less than would pay in the long run but it does smart everytime I see the extra charges!

Normal DD of £345.12 to loan today but I have increased my number of debts...for good reason I hope! I've been accepted for a 20 month interest free money transfer card so have transferred £3000 to my bank and paid it straight off the loan (which is a shocking 21.9% interest rate!) so there is only just £3200 left to pay on the loan...it will incur another part payment interest charge but will save hundreds compared to the initial term of the loan and has knocked another month off of my debt free date even taking into account transfer costs :j

    Welcome Keedie,

Basically you try and make and payment a day to eat into your debt - no matter how big or small each payment is an amount you don't have to pay interest on anymore so will make a massive difference in a small amount of time :)

This thread has really changed peoples debt free journeys, myself included!

No PAD from me today as I'll be needing an emergency plumber this morning. My WM connecting pipe has burst, so yet more water to deal with...

The vote will bring about big changes, that's for sure - challenging times ahead for the UK. Was a very close thing with a high turnout, so I think it was important to lots of the population.

Oh, joy....more rain to add insult to injury...
