WASPI Campaign .... State Pensions

There are many but one broad difference is that like my grandfather they may be looking after a spouse with dementia and might not be claiming benefits that they would be entitled to as carers these days.
Also around 175,000 carers (of both genders) under the age of 18 who are caring for relatives - sometimes for 50+ hours a week - but not enttiled to carers allowance

So there's been a power-grab in WASPI? It appears two of them got bored with the other three and ousted them. Better than Eastenders and Corrie combined, this is.

Careful, you'll have some people paying attention to the news and changes in state pension age rather than watching soaps, reading magazines etc etc0 -
Well, that does make it clear who has the passwords for the WASPI site.
Since the two involved are both women who gain nothing from measures to help the poorest women it seems that WASPI is doomed to failure by the insistence on it's £77billion plus demand for state pension age inequality increase.
It's interesting to read "The steering group will also include a number of representatives elected from WASPI local group co-ordinators" while also wondering how the vote among the founding five resulted in the two who appear to have the most extreme and unlikely demands staying around. Perhaps they decided that they didn't want a vote that they would presumably have lost and decided that having the passwords was good enough.0 -

Has been since early May when Anne Keen blocked 3 of the co-founders from admin on Facebook. She blamed "technical difficulties" although it was obvious to many what really happened.Since the two involved are both women who gain nothing from measures to help the poorest women it seems that WASPI is doomed to failure by the insistence on it's £77billion plus demand for state pension age inequality increase.
That and the stream of very unpleasant and quite derogatory tweets from Waspi Campaign towards the ousted 3 co-founders plus many supporters ( now previous ) on Twitter last night. It's interesting to read "The steering group will also include a number of representatives elected from WASPI local group co-ordinators" while also wondering how the vote among the founding five resulted in the two who appear to have the most extreme and unlikely demands staying around. It was a well orchestrated coup by Anne Keen that had been in the making since early May.
The other side of the story makes interesting reading.0 -
I now imagine Anne Keen in over-the knee leather boots, a selection of whips, and just a hint of a black moustache developing under her nose. Those that don't obey will feel the whips, right out of the door if need be.
Definitely material for a soap.0 -
I suppose the three of five founders could register WASPI as a trademark and take ownership of the accounts back into the hands of the WASPI leadership that way. After all, they do seem to be the actual ruling majority of WASPI, not those who mounted the coup.
They might also consider complaining to Facebook and Twitter about the coup by those who happen to have the passwords at the moment and seek to have them changed and handed to the majority of the WASPI leadership.
Meanwhile I suppose the WASPI2 coup leaders will have to disown the APPG since that group in Parliament has also concluded that the WASPI2's state pension age inequality ask is unachievable and pointless. The WASPI three leaders who are committed to finding a solution might also consider asking the APPG for their help in getting control of the accounts back into the hands of the majority of the WASPI leadership.
Or alternatively the three may talk with the APPG about their possible support for a name change to the WASPI campaign to something that's more truthful than what the WASPI letters stand for, leaving the WASPI accounts just the unachievable rump of WASPI.
Having the passwords can work for a while but ultimately something more sensible may prevail, with the accounts handed to the rightful leadership of WASPI that's at least closer to trying to find a solution that will help women in actual financial need.0 -

More like a horror movie than a soap, still might get some sponsorship from max Mosley.
That comment made me feel like Homer Simpson when Marges sisters come round!0 -

I was thinking more of Spitting Image or an aging 80s rock band arguing over who has the right to tour and record under the Waspi name.0 -

Or they could be honest about it and register WASPE.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0
