So ..... would it be different if a woman used several punctuation marks??????
Hmmmmm!!!!!!
A single punctuation mark is sufficient.
On the subject of sexual discrimination, I was watching Celebrity Masterchef last night and Louise Minchin remarked along the lines that she had to do well as she was the last woman in the competition.
Why?
I'd not noticed that.
What difference did it make?
None at all.
Sometimes, women don't do themselves any favours at all.0 -
As she has neither said Some or All then you cannot presume without qualifying from source .... that's pedantic ... end of.

Female born January 1950 here, so one of the last to get my SRP at 60.
I always knew that paying the Married Womens' Stamp would not entitle me to a Pension in my own right, and therefore paid the Full amount.
I find it difficult to believe that over a full working life, people can say they never, ever knew.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

This highlights the ridiculous unfairness and inconsistency of this whole sorry saga.
Thank goodness the MP Vara is now history.0 -
Ah, repeating that old Guardian article featuring a woman who lied to both the Guardian and in her written evidence submission to Parliament.slightlymiffed wrote: »You may also find this Guardian article helps? https://www.theguardian.com/money/2016/jan/09/state-pension-inequality-cost-women-20000-campaign
Explaining the lies
A financial loss that doesn't seem to be a loss after all
Should we be sympathetic... only until we look in more detail
House of Commons Library Number CBP-07405, 6 July 2016 research briefing "Increases in the State Pension age for women born in the 1950s" is probably a better background read, see the PDF at the bottom of that page.0 -
