On their website they say that they have an Dispute Resolution process. You need to ensure that this is what they are using.

I'll ask if she's part of the disputed resolution team...

I don't think I've provided you all with pics, so here's a couple I took last week:

  • It looks like it has been laid on soil?!

It should be on a bed of concrete.

This guy is a total johnny joker - definitely go to small claims.

How can i state that the council is involved is just garbage, as said above they write to the offending trader. don't even slap his rists.

And next week welcome him back.

Get away from these people and get reco's.

Yes, unfortunately the council aren't qualified to check their ability to do the work they claim they can do. All they seem to check is their Ts&Cs and that they haven't had any complaints against them.

But the council should sort this out - that it the whole point of these schemes.

Take this from the 1st OP post

"He said it's totally normal and to wait a few more weeks. I messaged him on Friday because another slab fell out and asked him when he could come out to discuss my concerns. He has read my message, but not replied and has since blocked me from contacting him."
    Then read the next post.

Received another email from west Lothian trading standards. They can only remind him of the terms and conditions, and that's it, I appreciate she's trying to help, but she doesn't really have any power tbh.

It's then up to me to take him to small claims. *sigh*

Enough said, they are powerless puppets and people need to know, we can all read the carp spouted by so called gov supported schemes but once it needs pennies spending on defending your issue you simply might just as well forget it:mad::mad::mad:

Well, I can't speak for West Lothian council, but when we had a similar problem with a council endorsed trader TS ensured that we got our deposit back immediately.

They have a dispute resolution scheme, so they should be able to use that.
