Glad to hear everything is going ok at the moment. Home made soup sounds lovely right now.

I'm still working my way through her blog posts but really like her approach.

Kitchen and back hall are still clear and clean, although I'm currently making hairy dieters chicken korma so will need to give it a good scrub later.

Running into school?! I hope that lasts for you, it's so much easier that way.

Great to hear DS is coping so much better! Maybe one day (soon?!) his new norm will be 'first at the school gate' and the stress will be if you're not as quick as he is...

I have those books too, I just didn't know it. :D

Luckily its the internal gate within the school grounds. He's good when walking by roads thankfully.

I'm sure he will be up and down but I'll take it for the moment.

Its been a house and garden day today. I have also been to get some more sewing work. Pennies :T Once DS settles I'm going to focus on some paperwork for work and financial stuff.

    Night all.

    Morning diary

I may have a few hours to myself today. DH and DS are planning on watching Star Wars. I hate sci-fi so it's either garden, decluttering or sewing for me. There is now way I'm watching that. Sorry I know I'm in the minority.

I still need to do my finances. I seem to be running scared and I don't want to get back into that mindset. It may be because I can struggle to focus on lots of things. If I focus on weight, money goes to pot, vice versa. I think a week planner for money, cleaning and work may be needed. Perhaps I can give myself a star when something is achieved. ;)

Right carry on with lunch prep.

Unusually for me I woke up feeling very anxious and shaking all over. I'm not usually a nervous Nellie, yes I'm a worrier but not this. I have had strange dreams all night. Perhaps that's it.

Yesterday was a washout. I was completely demotivated and did nothing after lunch. Today HAS to be different. I have a list of things which need to be done.

On a positive note the bedroom tidy habit has stuck and the kitchen just needs a few minutes a day.:j Time to find the next area. The bathroom I think. Its not too bad so would be easy to do. It does need decorating though. Well refurbishment is what it needs but with no money its not happening. Oh and I have to plan to finish my hall. Its taking more prep than I expected.

    Right today

Put washing out to dry - DONE
    Financial stuff
    Book DS's party
Registers for work and emails - DONE
1 hr tidying sewing room - DONE
    1 hr tidying DS's room
Note for teacher for tomorrow - DONE
    Mop floors

Will be back to confess what I've achieved later.

Sending you some hugs after your difficult start to the day, and also some oohs and ahhhs of admiration for all the tidiness.

Please don't beat yourself up for 'not achieving' yesterday. Sometimes we all need a day off, it's not wrong and it's when we go on driving ourselves through that our souls & bodies don't get time to repair and regroup.

You've got some large and some small items on your list (I can see you've already done some) so don't forget to give yourself a pat on the back for items you tick off, and things that creep in that you didn't anticipate, and if anything doesn't get done today, it's obviously got on the wrong day's list and should be deferred. :)

Thank you cherry fudge. I think you are right about having time off sometimes, this weekend has proven that. It was an odd feeling to wake up to this morning, I really didn't like it.

This is the first time today I have been alone, everyone else is in bed. I will be heading up soon as I have my usual 5am start tomorrow. it's really nice to have some quiet time. There is always noise in this house be it tv or music. Something is always switched on. I like quiet.

I have done some bits today but not achieved too much. I'm getting a bit frustrated with the house/money thing. I have to make sure i keep this period of impatience in check or it will all start to go wrong again. But at least I have recognised the pattern from previous behaviour.

I still need to look at my finances and transfer money into my second account. It's a change of routine for me and perhaps it's making me feel a little nervous. I would do it now but I'm so pooped. Perhaps I will feel a little clearer in the morning.

The bedroom is neat, the kitchen will need 15 mins in the morning, but it's ok compared to before. The rest of the house.....

Babysteps for me I think. As Frank Spencer said " everyday in everyway I'm getting better and better". Or something along those lines.

Right time to go, where's my beret. ;)

    This morning I have:

    Tidied the bedroom
    Put away clean washing
Put in a load of washing then hung it on the line to dry
    Half dismantled old cot bed
    Tidied the kitchen
    Mopped the floors

    :j:j:j

I have officially done more this morning than I did in the past four days, if you discount cleaning carpets.

I think just focussing on one small spot helps as it's not to overwhelming and when it's completed I will just wander and do something else. I don't think detailed plans work for me when it comes to housework.

I have a short day today as DS has an appointment at the hearing clinic for heRing aids. The last time I did this his glue ear had almost cleared so hopefully the same will happen again today. Fingers crossed.

Tonight I'm going to focus on DS's bedroom for one hour at least, it's gettig unbareable and I don't want him to live like this.

    Have a good day all.
