The Phantom Lodger

The end is obvious. The lodger has married a beautiful oil heiress and gone to live in Texas. Loads of improbable things will happen and then when OP wakes in the morning it'll just be a dream and the lodger will be naked in the shower.0

I've just had a homeless painter and decorator knock at my door and ask for a room*. Significant? I think so!

this is why i could never have a lodger - i'm way too nosey, i'd have to know what they were doing all the time! (and i'd have searched his room thoroughly by now for [STRIKE]any juicy gossip-type stuff[/STRIKE] evidence as to where he might have gone ) Wiggly:heartpulsFB0 ) Wiggly:heartpulsFB0

            He has e-mailed me!
He says he lost his phone on holiday and has been waiting for me to e-mail him. (Strange that his phone is still turned on with his sim card in..... and he has lost my email address...)
But anyway. He informs me that he will not be back for another month and says I should re let the room. He will call me when he is coming back to see if room is available.
Mystery solved. (doesn't quite add up but solved)! Our dream has come true... 0 0

Maybe he met a nice local girl in Ibiza or whereever and is staying on to do a bit of steaming/stripping (of wallpaper)...
I want his mobile battery - mine last all of 30mins...0

Most likely he was avoiding confrontation by using e-mail rather than the phone & his phone is secure in his pocket. Not that I've ever done that.
Damn I was enjoying that, especially the speculation Mel & Barnaby"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.0

In the meantime, what does he expect you to do with his stuff?0

what about his stuff? I'd be charging for looking after it 0 0

I agree with you all!! Fab mobile battery, and I think he was seeing how long he could get away with it for before we got a bit fed up.
He said he would ring next time he was down and see if the room was available again.... so who knows?! Doubt the room will be available again anyway as most lodgers tend to stay more than a month....
So in the meantime the new lodgers have a nice beer fridge and a printer! I will pack up all his clothes, etc and see if he contacts me again! I will have to change the locks now too I guess Our dream has come true... Our dream has come true... 0 0

I really need to learn not to post on here when drunk.
