Avoid old Samsung mentioned above, threw mine in bin was so slow, no memory
.
Hi thank you Browntoa mentioned the same phone, are these very easy to use?
And will i be able to download apps like Natwest and youtube?
As some phones are not compatible with the natwest app?
Thanks0 -
I'm doubtful if you'll find a cheap phone with Marshmallow on it yet, you're more likely to have to make do with Lollipop or even earlier.0

As above but most users are not going to know the difference .0

Natwest app requires Android 2.3.3 and upwards, I wouldn't advise buying anything with 4.0 or lower. Banking apps in general can be fussy about specific phones, so I wouldn't be going with an unbranded Chinese one.0

Motorola ones are about the best 'cheap' Android phones.
The Moto G 'XT1039' comes with Lollipop but will update to Marshmallow within the first couple of weeks of use, and will run Natwest and Youtube apps (I've got one and use both of those apps).0 -
Thank you all very much for all your help and advice

I agree, although the OP specified the latest Android update I would expect most if not all apps to work with Lollipop. There are some useful changes in Marshmallow (and some not so helpful ones) but if you haven't made the step from L to M I doubt if most users would realise that there's any difference.0 -
UPDATE
MOTO E now £50 at Vodafone because of a new model out.
Moto E is a suberb modern UK value phone, no need to buy cheap Chinese or secondhand

How easy is it to unlock the Voda version? (Tesco version is very easy to unlock with a key from Ebay).
I note OP doesn't say which network he is on.0 -
