    Still not here :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:
I've eaten my weight in curry and pineapple, been for long walk and to park with the kids, put sofa bed together, kondo'd a load of my stuff, packed and repacked my hospital bag, been grocery shopping, walked and walked but still.... Nothing!
Got midwife again on Tuesday and consultant next Friday to book induction if he still isn't here- little monkey!

Oh you poor lady. Its horrible when they wont budge. You have a lot more experience than me but my son was into his 43rd week before they finally induced me...
My daughter started off on her actual due date but after a full night of labour at home still didnt come out.
Both Cs. But so long as they get here safe its all that matters isnt it.

Oh sweet one! More contractions tonight?
Sadly not just a very low head and lots of menstrual type pain.

Just had some crappy news- my landlady has given me notice on my house. :-(
I have till November to find somewhere else or see what the council can do for me. I am so upset.
She said it wasn't because of me but because she needs the house for her daughter but I'm so so upset.

Aw, Kim, that truly blows! And with all the work you have done to her less than well-maintained house, from what you have said. Did you tell her about the damp and the antediluvian heating system? About how you have to boil kettles constantly because the hot water costs too much?

Surely, the council must be able to do something for you? I would have thought you would be right at the top of the eligibility list of any council. My heart goes out to you and your brood. Talk about being kicked when you're down. You will let us know how you get on, won't you? How are you supposed to look for somewhere else to live in the present circumstances? Can your mum help, at all?

Sending you hugs, fwiw. Smodlet texty now! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Babe, what date did your tenancy start, please? There is a ton of advice on here, some on one of my other threads, about tenants' rights.
  • Really not what you need right now Kim. Sending hugs.

  • I'm with Smod on the tenants rights. I'm not sure she can make you move so that she can move someone else into her house. Of course I don't know UK law, but I wouldn't think that she could.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

The landlord can end the tenancy but it has to be done properly. There are processes that have to be followed and obviously the dates on the tenancy agreement will definitely be one to check because I think the processes are slightly different if the tenancy is still within the initial agreement terms. I think if the tenancy period has ended and no new agreement has been signed, the tenancy changes over to a rolling monthly agreement. It might be that because the landlord has said she has until November, then she has given enough notice, but then I think it has to be given officially, I can't think of the term but there is a particular form that has to be served to the tenant (but again this might be in different circumstances). However, don't listen to anything I say as sound advice because I am in no way knowledgeable about the ins and outs of these things so Kim definitely needs to get professional advice

Kim - try making an appointment with the Citizens Advice Bureau or might even be worth giving somebody like Shelter a ring.

Good luck, I do read your thread regularly but don't join in a lot, but am enjoying keeping up with all the news.

    Fingers crossed baby arrives soon

Hey y'all, Kim needs all the support she can get on her new thread, some people are being absolutely vile!

It's called a Section 21 notice, Moneymission and you are completely correct about the initial period. Unfortunately, I think Kim has already been there more than the six months and certainly will have been by November.

    Come on, y'all.
