Hi guys,
I've been poorly today
I don't know what bug I've caught but I woke up feeling really flu like, have been quite sick and then my lovely eldest dd (12) said ' it's okay mum lie on the sofa for a hot and I'll play with the littl'es in the garden' I fell asleep and woke up to find she had made lunch ( Sandwhiches) and was waking me to give me paracetamol as I had a fever! I am truly amazed at what an amazing young woman she has become. I don't know what I did to deserve such a wonderful daughter. I then got up, was really ill ( think exorcist vomit) and that was it, temperature was gone and I was fine, I still have a very weak gag reflex and tender belly but all the acheyness and flueyness has gone.
The kids have been brilliant, smoothing me and cuddling me and checking I'm okay. It's been like having my own little team of maids on hand getting me a glass of water and smoothing my face to make me feel better! :-)
Not a very productive day as I've been poorly but a load of my !!!! has sold on eBay and Facebook so I'll be packaging all that up to send out tomorrow :-)
Hope you guys are all well-
K+8 xx
Hi, Kim, Mila, smallholdingsister and everybody,
Kim, I am so sorry you have been poorly. If you felt much better after expelling the culprit, I wonder if it could have been something you ate?
You do know what you did to deserve your DD12 and everyone else; you were/are you. Simples! Amazing women can produce amazing children; it does not always happen but it can. I am glad you feel better and hope you are back to firing on all cylinders very soon. You have an ace family.0 -
Eon were fantastic today and have adjusted my direct debit as it partially included monies owed from previous tenant by mistake- that was a pleasant surprise :-)
I have horrific heartburn so have hardly eaten today but I just can't face eating anything when I feel so rough!
Glad we're looking after you kimplus8. Thought I'd pop on with a bit of information about an online tool that gives you more control over the payment arrangement. It's called the Direct Debit Manager and sorry if you already know this stuff.
Provided you've registered with our website, you can use this tool to keep an eye on the arrangement including altering the monthly payments. Comes in handy should circumstances change. As long as the account is billed up to the latest meter readings, payments can be changed by up to 20 per cent up or down. By up to 5 per cent up or down without readings. Before confirming the new amount, we'll let you know by how much we anticipate the account will be in credit/debit by the time of the annual review if payments are changed but usage doesn't alter as expected. At the annual review any credit over a fiver is automatically refunded to your bank. Any debit balance is included in the ongoing arrangement and spread up to the next review.
There's also an online tool for creating your own bills. Just pop in the latest meter readings and you'll be given the option of seeing the balance that would result or actually issuing a bill. It's another way to help keep track of your account.
Hope this is of interest kimplus8 and that you're feeling a bit better today.

You seem so organised re meals and getting a bargain and your kids seem like they are a real credit to you and well done sorting out free things to do in summer hols when you must be feeling exhausted. Hopefully you will soon feel better.

Hi, smod, mila, Eon dude, mumtomany and everyone else.
Been a bit off last day or so after exorcist-gate but feeling much better this evening. I have my hospital appointment tomorrow for another scan and to see the consultant RE: birth plan etc, if they offer me an induction I'm going to take it, I'm so shattered and done in, everything aches, my hips hurt so badly I could barely walk to the corner shop to get milk earlier today. I feel so low in mood and tearful its hard to be upbeat and positive for the kiddies so I'm happy to just get labour over with and have a happy, healthy baby in my arms. I cant believe that this time next month I will have 8 children around me, its amazing really.
I need to do an online shop at some point this weekend and also pay a chunk of my decree absolute fees, the sooner my divorce is through and I can draw a line under it completely the better.
Ive sold so many things this week which is great because I need the money and Ive realised that its just 'stuff'. I don't 'need' any of it and its better off out of my hair and earning me some much needed cash than just in the house gathering dust.
Got a busy day again tomorrow so this is K+8 checking out- ill update you on everything tomorrow. :0 :0 :0Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0 -

Fantastic day- my little fat chops man is over 6lband is looking so chunky!!! They couldn't see his face as he is engaged and ready to come, 3 and a bit weeks left so this time next month he will be here with us. I can't wait to meet him. NSD apart from milk and some needed food essentials, toilet roll and I paid 2 bills (hate it but has to be done).
Decided not to do bankruptcy and just start plugging away at the debt! I'm determined to pay it off. Need to chase up my wages as I'm £200 under this month and technically on holiday so shouldn't be on Mat pay yet
Plan to go to the Harry Potter launch tomorrow dressed up as characters- we already have costumes from various world book days so apart from the wee ones we will have 3 hermionies and 2 Harry Potters tomorrow lol.
Tho one Harry is missing his glasses.
Then off to library to change our books and then home again. :-)Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!0 -
