Neighbours smoking weed

I've just moved into a rented property on a six month lease. My neighbours constantly smoke weed and the smell is drifting into my house. I can't open my windows because of the smell and even with them closed it's bad.
They aren't the kind of people you'd want to approach to complain and i don't really know what to do. I can't get out of my tenancy agreement until November and it's affecting my health its not good for my 2 children either.
Is it worth contacting the letting agent that deals with my house or would i be wasting my time? I can't afford to lose my deposit.
I would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks
Caroline.

I can't imagine your letting agents being too interested as they can't control what happens in other people's homes.... It could be worth keeping a diary and reporting it to non-emergency police? If the smell is that strong could they be growing/dealing?0

My experience of letting agents led me to understand that they are not good with confidentiality issues.
Make a 101 call to Police, or use Crimestoppers. They are comitting a crime and if they have children, they are forcing the fumes on them as well as your own. Use a callbox if you can and ask for anonymity, very clearly.
They must be getting the stuff somewhere. If you can access your loft, have a sniff around in there. If they are growing it as well, the stink of growing weed in quantity is unmistakeable.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Thanks for the reply. I'll start a diary I've no idea about growing and or dealing it's not something i've had to deal with before. I didn't think the letting agent would be much help. I'm guessing my options are to lose my deposit or stick it out until november.0

While I sympathize and am very much anti-drugs, I do wonder how you can think this is affecting the health of your children?0

You could move breaking the lease. Yes you would lose the deposit but your children's health comes first and waiting for the police to take any action against some personal use which they really don't care about that much will take forever.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

You may feel more relaxed about the whole thing if you open a few windows0

Plug up every gap you can find with paper and get some cheap bathroom sealant from poundland to seal it.
Then lift the carpets and get some masking tape to seal all the gaps between the floorboards.
Do one room at a timeGather ye rosebuds while ye may0
