I got a magnetic GB 'sticker' last time I went abroad.
It's stuck on the fridge now.0 -

I'm Scottish - and proud of it - as well as being British - but until such time as we have English, Welsh, Norn Iron, or Scottish passports my numberplate will look like this:

When we vote out in three weeks time, you can have our second referendum and then do whatever you like.

I covered up the horrible ring of stars (more like ring of barbed wire imho) with union flags under the GB plate. I bought them for a couple of quid via the UKIP website.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

A political party, selling items deliberately intended to render your registration plates illegal?
Why would anybody buy anything so pathetically ill-judged, when it's perfectly legal to not have the strip present at all?
Oh, wait. UKIP, did you say? All becomes clear.0 -
Could be wrong here, so pinch of salt and all that ...
The EU symbol and the approved country identifier (F, D, GB etc) is the standard. However, I believe that UK has a small opt-out here, where we can use the national flag (Union flag, St Andrew's & St George's crosses, draig goch etc) and an identifier such as ENG, CYM, SCO, ALB etc. How official this is, I don't know, but I see loads of cars/bikes in Europe with these number plates, so they can't be checking them at the border and turning people back.
On the other hand, a small magnetic GB plate from Halfords is only a few quid and solves the issue.
I was told that you can't have the Scottish Flag instead of the GB one.0
