Trying up upgrade Windows Vista

Please bare with me as i'm not very technical, i'm currently running on Windows Vista Home Package which came free with my PC many years ago, everythings been fine and it's been updating regular, the last few months some of the sites i've been visting, parcels2go, paypal, etc has been flashing up saying my "Internet Explorer Is Out Of Date" and it's stopping me accessing some things i need to do, i'm using Internet Explorer 9 the latest version for Vista. I'm a little worried about what to do, i don't know what Chrome is and unsure if i should be buying a Windows 7,8,10 software off Ebay ? Any Help would be great, Jacqui x

As PG said, try Chrome or Firefox (both browsers); a fully patched should Vista work fine.

Regarding buying 7,8,10 you could try an upgrade to 7 but a. computer may be too old (unlikely) b.you're not very technical. Windows7 OEM licenses are cheap but c. activation can be tricky.

It's Chrome with different knickers on, personally I prefer Chromium.
