Your post is utter rubbish! Pitiful when posted to a dedicated Tech board. You are just digging a bigger hole for yourself.
Did you actually have a good reputation for giving technical advice before you posted that nonsense?

It is only you who have attempted to assume that Opera equals Chrome because they have developed their browser from the open source Chromium. That assumption borders on the idiotic and to be honest I don't think that you really believe it.
It's just that you are loathe to admit that you were wrong.

Your statement suggests that every Browser based on Chromium is Google Chrome. The whole point is to make them different than Chrome. Chrome is developed from Chromium too.

Perhaps I can point you towards this link Google Chrome- Differences from Chromium

    Please stop embarrassing yourself.

Opera is developed from Chromium. It is not Google Chrome.

So you are suggesting that the at least thirteen current browsers based on Chromium are actually just really Google Chrome??

You really need to hang your head in shame. Embarrassing.

The point about Opera is that it's 'blobs' make it a better browser. I think it's built in VPN will prove itself invaluable to many.

Yeah ,whatever Nifty your childish insults are mere mosquito nibbles to an elephant's hide ;)

Back up what you are saying with code, let me know when you have decompiled those blobs and what's in them. In the meantime please rant on.

As for the VPN I wouldn't shout too loudly about that, you may wish to read some of the comments here:

Oh please....no this is really clutching at straws. I don't understand why you are doing this to yourself. Are you heavily depressed?

Allow me to help you with this link; What is Opera, Opera beta, and Opera developer?
    Opera developer

Opera developer contains our latest changes. It is a nightly snapshot of our active development, delivered more or less as-is and minimal quality requirements.

The intention is to showcase what we are working on and be open about upcoming changes to web technologies. It is not intended for daily browsing. It is provided for web developers (as the name suggests) and enthusiasts who are not afraid of some bumps in the road.

The developer stream is what is often referred to, in development terms, as bleeding-edge or the unstable streams. Referring to the risk of suddenly getting cut by an unpolished developing feature.

A Opera developer release happens approximately two times per week. (Thus, not recommended for users with limited bandwidth.) There can be fewer developer releases in the week preceding an Opera release.

In it's simplest terms, those comments do not refer to the Opera Browser, but to a development stream of the Opera Browser, for people to test and to report back as to what doesn't work in order to assist in fixing ongoing issues.

Opera Browser is the finished product.
Opera Beta is the browser in it's test phase
Opera developer is just a work in progress released for testing twice a week.

So those comments are from people downloading the developer version and expecting everything to work.
The VPN function has not even been released yet and at the time of the comments, still being developed.

Are you really so dense that you did not understand that? I find it hard to believe.

    Please...stop harming yourself.

Once again, you are referring to features that are in Development Mode. Do you understand the meaning?

I don't need to spell out the benefits of the feature here. Needless to say that I recommend the OP to try the Opera Browser.

You are desperately trying to justify your earlier comments that Opera is Chrome by trying to find even the most irrelevant negative review. But all you have done is to fall flat on your face.

Please find a negative review of the Opera Browser itself, rather than overviews of Developer Versions. Ridiculous.

It's plain to see that you have lost all credibility on this forum with your desperate clutching at straws.

It's Chrome with different knickers on, personally I prefer Chromium.

when in fact Opera is more accurately described as Chromium with knickers on. Then wormed out of it.

Saying it's just like Chrome underneath would have been accurate and you wouldn't have had to fightback (in the wrong) and change the subject so much.

Not I who is referring to development features and trumpeting them as a wonderful panacea.

Just what does happen to that routed traffic through their servers ? A goldmine that Phorm would have paid handsomely for and a group of Chinese businessmen have:

Because it will be useful when released with Opera Browser. Just as Opera Turbo already is ;)
If the Chinese want to watch streamed commercial content, let them. :)

I am in EXACTLY the same boat as you and get the same messages/failures to log in.
I use Modzilla Firefox when I HAVE to but still use IE as all my favourites/saved sites seem to sit there. There is not a complete list of these shown when I use M/FF.

Been looking at a new computer (which !?), though there is still life in this one and like anyoe else, I have change.
Vista is being supported til Apr. 2017 apparently
