Don't try to move the goalposts. Your insinuation was that it was based on Chrome, as opposed than Chromium.
Now you are changing the subject to avoid having to admit that you were wrong.
Usually a female tactic.0 -
Once you've admitted that you were wrong, we can deal with your second insinuation.AdColony helps marketers place video ads across a network of Apple iOS and Android mobile applications,0

Does 180W = 300W ?
Are they making browsers for free and giving it away for the good of their health ? No, it's a way of monetising the customer base and that is just one example on the IOS/Andoid platforms.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -
I had Vista and chrome. Chrome stopped working with Vista so I upgraded it to Win 7. I prefer chrome to IE.0

I see that you are distancing yourself from the Chrome/Chromium argument now
Even if you try to move the goalposts, your argument is still nonsense. You'll find that all of the major browsers are 'monetised' in some way. Firefox used to have a revenue sharing agreement with Google and now perhaps Yahoo(haven't checked).
Really can't have an intelligent debate with someone who wriggles like a snake rather than to deal with the issues that they brought up in the first place.
The fact remains that Opera is based on Chromium, not Chrome and it is a very good browser.0 -

No, I mean someone who cannot provide any evidence that Opera is based on Chrome..... and then quietly drops that argument in order to focus on something else...of no substance.0 -

Now then if we wish to have a semantics discussion then let's look at what I said:
Chrome = Google's fully fledged spy on you browser with binary drop blobs.
Chromium = Open source version sans blobs
Opera (yes it takes chromium) then add own blobs = QED Chrome in new knickers.
It was you who moved the goalposts to assume I meant it was directly lifted from Chrome to suit your own ends rather than using chrome as a comparative.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -

Your post is utter rubbish! Pitiful when posted to a dedicated Tech board. You are just digging a bigger hole for yourself.
Did you actually have a good reputation for giving technical advice before you posted that nonsense?
It is only you who have attempted to assume that Opera equals Chrome because they have developed their browser from the open source Chromium. That assumption borders on the idiotic and to be honest I don't think that you really believe it.
It's just that you are loathe to admit that you were wrong.
Your statement suggests that every Browser based on Chromium is Google Chrome. The whole point is to make them different than Chrome. Chrome is developed from Chromium too.
Perhaps I can point you towards this link Google Chrome- Differences from Chromium
Please stop embarrassing yourself.
Opera is developed from Chromium. It is not Google Chrome.
So you are suggesting that the at least thirteen current browsers based on Chromium are actually just really Google Chrome??
You really need to hang your head in shame. Embarrassing.
The point about Opera is that it's 'blobs' make it a better browser. I think it's built in VPN will prove itself invaluable to many.0
