Yes, worse than Sheffield!0 -
How about asking your local dealers if they have any demonstrators due to be sold. They often come at high spec and a good price as the garage will have had a discount. yes they will be secondhand but we have bought Saabs and now Nissans this way.0

I recently bought a factory order VW Golf Estate to my specification using broker carfile.net and saved in the region of 20% as the model I wanted was on special offer. Order placed via a main VW dealership who delivered the car to my door.
Get some quotes from Carwow to compare with other brokers and make your choice. An easy achievable discount should be circa 11%.0 -
My thanks to all those who replied.
I had already heard of carwow, but hadn't heard of Drive the Deal and Broadspeed. I've tried all three now but I find carwow the most straightforward. It simply puts you in contact with 5 dealers and you can take it from there.
In the meantime, I have now discovered that the WhatCar? Web site provides target prices. According to WhatCar?, the target discount for the version of the Golf that I am considering is 9.7%.0 -
4.39%, 20%, 11% & 9.7%. And the winner is....Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

How is carwow the most straightforward?
Broadspeed give you an instant price there and then? What could be simpler?
Also Broadspeed seem to be doing discounts across the range of approx 15%, so why are you setting your target discount of 9.7% when more may well be available?0 -
The one thing you need to be prepared with Carwow is loads of emails now from the dealers asking about your interest in buying from them.0
