Go to flybe web site and click on check-in,it will ask for Booking Ref,Forename and surname. its straight forward. Because your returning within a few days of your outbound flight you can check in on your return before you have left. If it wont let you check in on return do 1 day before you are due to fly out. (if you know what I mean)

This is not true for Flybe, you cannot check in for any leg earlier than 36 hours before departure. I have taken to getting the boarding pass on my phone so that I don't need to worry about finding a printer while I'm away. They also offer an automated check in option but I haven't found it to be terribly reliable.

That sounds better. How do i do that? I'll have free WiFi when i am away so could get our boarding passes on my iPhone. Will we need a boarding pass each, or do we just get 1 for the 3 of us?

Download the flybe app to your iPhone. You'll be able to check in on that and the boarding passes are downloaded to the phone. What I tend to do then is screenshot them and send the boarding passes to everyone. This also protects against any app/internet issues at the airport, as the screenshot is saved as a photo on the phone.

Anyway, checking in online is not mandatory with flybe. You can wait until the airport and head to the flybe desk.

Be very careful with the phone boarding passes - they usually have to be using the specific app. I was behind someone in the queue at the entry to security where you show your boarding passes, he had boarding passes in email and a pdf on his phone but they wouldn't accept those, it had to be either using the official app or printed. They wouldn't let him though.

Must have been an over-enthusiastic official then as I've used a variety of formats on my phone at a variety of airports and have never had an issue - I don't even have the Flybe app.

    Thanks everyone.

I wont bother downloading the Flybe app then, I'll just save it as a photo on my phone.

We have Special Assistance Service with Flybe, to fast track us through the airports, so hopefully we will be OK with just the photo.

Yes, I've seen this with BA. They were insistent that the mobile boarding pass had to be displayed in the app and not a screenshot.

Personally, while I use mobile boarding passes I always like to have a proper paper one as a backup. I've never flown with FlyBe but on BA you can print off a boarding pass and still use the mobile app.

But you'll need the app in the first place to be able to screenshot the boarding passes?

Like I said if all this is bothering you much, you can always do it the old fashioned way with flybe and turn up at the airport desk.

No you don't, as I've already demonstrated in my last post. I check in online and have the boarding pass either sent by email or by SMS direct to my phone. Having said that, I've recently used the KLM app and it's more user friendly than the other methods, so I may well try the Flybe app before my next flight with them on Monday.

I went to the Play Store to download the Flybe app but the slew of 1 star reviews has made me think again. I will stick to my previous method of checking in.
